1 ¼ cup applesauce ½ t baking powder
4 t sugar substitute ½ t cinnamon
½ C vegetable oil ¼ t. salt
2 eggs ¼ t nutmeg
3 T milk ¼ t allspice
2 C flour ½ C chopped nuts
1 t soda ½ C raisins
To make regular bread use 1 C sugar to replace the sugar substitute.
Combine applesauce, sugar substitute, oil, eggs, and milk and mix thoroughly.
Add flour, soda, baking powder, salt, spices, nuts and raisins and mix
well. Turn into well greased 9”x5”x3” loaf pan, or two smaller ones.
Topping: Combine ¼ C chopped nuts, ¼ C brown sugar and
½ t cinnamon, and sprinkle over batter. Back at 350 degrees
for one hour or until done. (Small pans take less time.)
