RICH WHOLE WHEAT ROLLS

Scald 1 cup milk
Add
 1/2 c brown sugar
 1/2 c oil or melted butter
 1-1/2 t salt
Cool to warm

Stir until dissolved, then let stand 10 min.:
 2 pkg. yeast
 1/2 c warm water
 1 t sugar

Add to milk mixture:
 2 beaten eggs and softened yeast

Add gradually 4-1/4 - 4-3/4 c ww flour.

Cover and let rest 10-15 minutes. Knead 10 min. Place in greased bowl; cover and let rise 45 min. Punch down and let rest 10 min. Shape into rolls; place in or on greased pan; cover and let rise until double. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 min.
Makes 2-1/2 dozen rolls.
