1 ¾ C cornmeal
3 C milk or water
 
Cook until a mush is formed.  Remove from fire and cool.  Add the following ingredients in the order given whites of eggs folded in last.  Bake in greased baking dish and serve from dish with a spoon.  Top it with a pat of butter.

2 T sugar
2 t salt
3 beaten egg yolks
3 beaten egg whites
2 T melted margarine
3 t baking powder

Bake 325 degree oven for 30 minutes or until a knife inserted in middle comes out clean.
