1/4 c yeast dissolved in 1 c warm water
Melt in 8 qt pan:
1 c shortening
1 c honey
Add to mix in pan:
9 c warm water
8 c whole wheat flour (or more)
1 c dehydrated potatoes
1 c dehydrated milk
1 T salt
Add yeast and beat to blend. Mix in enough white flour to make soft
dough that leaves sides of pan (about 5 lb). Knead, raise to double; punch
down; shape into loaves. Bake 50 min at 400 degrees. (Note: Some of the
dough can be rolled out and cut into squares after first rising. Cut a
slit in each square before frying in deep hot fat until golden brown on
both sides.
