I'm glad SOMEBODY did a web page like this. I saw Cade beat Miami in his first game as a freshman, and it's only fitting he end his career by kicking their tails one last time. Will he get the Heisman? Only if he posts Tim Couch's numbers AND takes the te m to the BIG GAME. Then again, if they give the trophy to the most inspiring player, one who elevates his teammates, then the Heisman is Cade's, Cade's, Cade's!!! espn anowsers were talking about Cade, as a possible, first draft pick for N.C. but the way Tampa Bay keeps getting beat, they mite end up with a higher pick, I think there a good Q.B. away from a superbowel team. Living on the east coast Ive never seen him play. Do you know if ucla is going to play any of the Florida schools this year, have any games with national coverage. Wow! Awesome page! Great articles and pictures. My family has had season tickets since I was just a baby. When McNown came to UCLA he quickly became our favorite player. I can't wait to see the Bruins this year. I think the whole team has got a lot of hea t. Great web site. I was impressed by the style and content of this site. I just graduated UCLA and I am sad that I will miss seeing Cade get the Heisman and UCLA smelling the roses. I was lucky to attend UCLA during the greatest 4 years of 82-86. Three Rose Bowl wins and one Fiesta Bowl win. Being on the East Coast it is really hard to see any UCLA games. I coached Cade McNown his senior year in high school when I was the head football coach at West Linn High. After Cade graduated I moved on to a new school built in our school district called Wilsonville High School. During Cade's first year at UCLA I go some phone calls from the LA news media asking me about him and how good I thought he would be in college. At that time I told the LA news that he would be a Heisman Trophy candidate. I'm still rooting for him to win the award. But whether he does or ot does not matter. His record speaks for itself. Last year he answered all the questions by his performance on the field. That was no surprise to me. Let's face it Cade is the man, but Larry Atkins is the hammer! The bruins will dominate this year and face Nebraska in the Fiesta Bowl, that's my lock. As far as any weak links on UCLA's roster, the only one I know of is Damian Allen. I know the guy ha speed to burn, and he is an awesome kick off coverage guy, but he is too short to play cornerback- alla Terry Donahue corner. Put him on special teams - even returning kicks and he will amaze. Cade should win the Heisman because he epitomizes college fo tball - A tough kid who is determined to win and will done anything for his team. Don't forget the great haircut, who cares if he looks 12 years old, he is the toughest guy on the team!!

Cade has put together a great career. I saw him play in high school(Oregon) when I was coaching at Vernonia HS . There is another QB who played in Oregon(VHS) at the same time (Scott McKedy now at W.Oregon).I feel he is as talented as Cade, definately a D vision I QB. Outstanding QB at the Rebok camp held at Saint Marys college in "95. Hopefully he can get his career started.H.S.#'s 18games 33td's 3891yd's. He was injured four games into his senior and has spent two years looking for a place to play(long s ory). Hopefully he will get some notice playing at W.Oregon(nationally ranked). Acouple things: Looking at the schedule, for the Bruins to loose, they would be upset by someone. This means they should go to the Fiesta Bowl. However, if for some odd reason they are upset they will be in the Rose Bowl. ASU sucks, and they will have at east 1 loss before their fifth game. I see the Bruins then playing Ohio State, and winning most certainly. Also, it will be 8 straight versus U$C, and Cade will take home the Heisman..Couch can suck my ----, and R. As a Trojan alum who does not hate UCLA (Some of us do exist) I commend your devotion to Cade and the UCLA football program. Cade is, IMHO, the most valuable player inn the Pac10 this year. If he stays healthy, UCLA could bid for an alliance bowl. If he goes down (a good possibility) UCLA is barely a .500 team. I don't think that Cade will win the Heisman. There will be too many teams gunning for him. After 2 dismal seasons, Cade snuck up on the Pac10 last year. With his being hyped for post-season awards and the absence of Skip Hicks to take some pressure off o him, Cade is a marked man. The one good thing is that when USC beats UCLA this year, Cade can still claim not to have lost to the Trojans if he is on injured reserve!
