Welcome to the pages about the horses!
I'd like to start with my horse. I'll admit it, I'm partial to him
and I'm biased! I like him better than anybody, but don't you like your
pet better than anyone else's too?? Come on! Admit it! I know you
do! :-)
Anyway, I have to show off my baby.
Rio Diablo has been with me for about 2 and 1/2 years now, and I'm loving
every minute of it! He's an 12 year old bay, Arabian/Quarter Horse
gelding with a very loveable personality. He stands 14.2 HH, and
99% of it is all heart! He lives to please, and he really loves learning
new things, which naturally makes him a really easy pleasure to train!
He goes english and western, and does a whole bunch of stuff western, and
is just starting english. His western credits include trail, pleasure,
cattle ( no roping, he's built too lightly), beginning reining, and teaching
little grandchildren and inexpereinced freinds how to ride! He's even jumped
western, because I'm not exactly an english rider! I like my western, and
that's all there is to it!
D isn't exactly
world class when it comes to conformation, but he looks good after you've
seen him with a pot belly down to the ground, a scruffy winter coat,
and mud caked all over him, and then had to be the one to work it
off!! After all that, anything looks good!! He's not really horrible,
though. He does the job well, and when you love someone/something,
you love it and you think it looks good no matter what.
