[CONCERT SERIES CONTINUES] [JAMIE PAGE RETURNS FOR ANNUAL RENEWAL EVENT] [CELEBRATION EVENT: SEPTEMBER 9-16TH IN MARSHALL] [MISSIONS IN BRIEF] [CHRISTIAN BUMPER STICKERS] [CONGRATULATIONS GRADUATES!] [Birthdays/Anniversaries]

CONCERT SERIES CONTINUES

The same people who brought memorable concerts to the area featuring Andrew Peterson and Dove nominee Mark Schultz to Marshall, have big plans for the rest of 2001.
Trevor Morgan, who was the opening act for Mark Schultz last January, will present a concert at the Marshall High School at 7 pm on Saturday, May 5th. The concert has been billed as a "thank you" to the folks who helped make the first two concerts so successful by their generous giving.
Then, October 20th, one of the most successful artists in contemporary Christian music, Geoff Moore, will come to the Bueker Middle School stage in Marshall. Mark your calendars now because you won't want to miss this one!

JAMIE PAGE RETURNS FOR ANNUAL RENEWAL EVENT

Many of you will remember the blessing we received when Jamie Page led the renewal services two years ago. Jamie, who has recorded numerous albums and has had his songs recorded by artists like Glen Campbell, is the pastor of Faith Family Fellowship in Fayette (how's that for alliteration, Betty!) He is a talented, kind-hearted pastor whom God uses in a special way to minister to His people.
Our annual renewal event will be held August 12-14 with the opening event to be held at the Sweet Springs Race Track. Our theme is: "We're in it to win it!"
Make plans to come celebrate and find victory in your life over adversity, sin and death.

CELEBRATION EVENT: SEPTEMBER 9-16TH IN MARSHALL

When Bill Glass was an all-pro football player for the Cleveland Browns; harassing the likes of Bart Starr and Roger Staubach on the field was his weekly job. Since his retirement from the game, Bill uses his love of sports and love of Christ to appeal to the unchurched. He is especially committed to prison ministry. In September he will bring his "Celebration of Champions" event to the Saline County area.
This crusade will give area Christians a wonderful opportunity to bring their unchurched friends to a exciting event which will present the gospel in fresh ways. Already on the schedule, is Kelly Cash, the niece of famous singer Johnny Cash, and winner of the title of Miss America. Famous soccer player, Kyle Rote, Jr. will also be on hand. Motivational speakers who do amazing feats of strength (Keith Davis) will be brought in to do assemblies at area schools. Christian athletes will do clinics or area youth in the areas of football, soccer and basketball.
How can you be involved? There are a variety of committees being formed; these will be explained at the banquet. Mark your calendar and plan to attend!

MISSIONS IN BRIEF

In 1999, the Basic Mission Finance offering for the Mid-America region totaled $1,062,337; of that amount, $382,934 was returned to support projects in our own area.

CHRISTIAN BUMPER STICKERS

* Coincidence is when God chooses to remain anonymous
