Are you in the midst of a storm? If so, come to Jesus! You see, sometimes, He calms the storm! Sometimes, He just calms our heart in the midst of the storm.

The Bible teaches us, "Except ye become as a little child, ye cannot enter into the kingdom of heaven."
To truly know God, we must be vulnerable to Him, vulnerable and trusting like a small child. I used to resist Him in every way possible. In fact, I was afraid of Him. I was afraid to trust Him. Fear is a learned emotion. I learned to be fearful of God because of circumstances in my childhood.
Since then, the Lord has taught me that HE IS TRUSTWORTHY! He taught me to reverence Him. What a difference He has made in my life, and I am so thankful! Now, I call Him "Abba" which means "Daddy."

For years, I just wanted someone to love me; someone who could know everything about me: all the worts, the scars, the ugliness, and still love me ~ just as I am. I had almost given up hope that it was possible until I finally found out a wonderful truth: there really is Someone who knows everything there is to know about me good and bad, and He still loves me. That Someone is Jesus Christ and He has become my best Friend; I would not want to live one solitary day on earth without knowing Him that intimately. The Lord speaks tenderly to me: through His Word, the Bible; through His Holy Spirit; through those who love me; and through my circumstances. God will NEVER lead us to go against His Word, so I have made the Bible my guide book for Life.
The Bible calls the Church the Bride of Christ. If we are true believers in what Jesus did on the cross for us and have received God's gift of salvation through Christ, then we are a part of His Bride, the Church. God desires a pure, spotless Bride. We can never be completely perfect, but we should strive for the goal of becoming more like Him. He wants us to honor Him even in the smallest details of our lives. I hope you will choose to do so in your life. I know that He will be pleased by your obedience.
Our obedience should stem from our love for Christ; from our gratefulness for all He did for us on the cross; and from our thankfulness for His victory over death through the ressurrection from the dead and for paying of our debt of sin ~ a price we could never pay.
When we choose to follow Him, He empowers our choices and gives us victory in our walk.
