AND
GENEALOGY
Hi, my name is Tom Leverich and I live in West Windsor, NJ.  For about 25 years on and off, I have been compiling information regarding the descendants of the Rev. William Leverich (1603-1677) of Newtown, Queens County, Long Island, NY.  The purpose of this page is to freely share the information I have compiled, and through making contacts with Leverich family descendants, expand the data base of information on the family, with the future objective of publishing a comprehensive family history and genealogy.
I have several documents which I can share with you via email (they have been created in MS Word 7.0 for Windows 95)

The Rev. William Leverich was born in England about 1603 and died at Newtown (now Elmhurst) Queens County, Long Island, New York in 1677.  He is the original imigrant ancestor in the USA of most individuals bearing the surname "Leverich", as well as some individuals bearing the surname "Leveridge".

The Rev. William Leverich was a graduate of Emmanuel College, Cambridge, England.  Ordained as a priest of the Church of England (Anglican), he became associated with the nonconformist movement (the Puritans) and came to America in 1633.  He served congregations in Dover NH, Duxbury MA, Sandwich, Cape Cod MA, Oyster Bay, Huntington, and finally Newtown on Long Island, NY.
This is a copy of a page from the Register at Emmanuel College, Cambridge showing the name of our ancestor March 28, 1622.
OUR BRANCH OF THE
Here is a little bit of information about myself.  I am about to celebrate my 52nd birthday and I am happily married since 1977 to my "better half" Michele Bouchard, who is into quilting, poetry, and the fine arts, among other things.  We have three wonderful children.  Jessica will be a senior in college as a dance performance major at the Hartt School of the Arts at the University of Hartford (CT).  Adam will be a sophmore at the local community college, majoring in liberal arts. Emily, our youngest, and now a teenager at 13,  is into music and art.  And of course, there are the three kitty cats, Kiki, Mollie, and Charley.  Michele and I both make our living as administrators for the Food and Nutrition Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture, Michele as our regional Nutrition Education and Training Coordinator, and myself as the regional manager of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (i.e. School lunch in day care facilities).  We live in central NJ, mid-way between New York City and Philadellphia.
