Hello,My Grandmother, Mary Grace Baker, just passed away on
Wednesday (April 30th). I know she loved and was very involved
in Eastern Star in Little Rock prior to moving to Florida years
ago to be with the rest of our family. I'm not sure of her
Eastern Star title or if anyone would remember her, but I thought
I would let you all know. My Mom, Dad and I will probably be the
only ones attending her graveside burial on Monday, May 5th at 2pm
(Pinecrest Memorial Park and Garden). Please let anyone know they
are welcome to attend.

Thank you very much, Keeley Harding Dayton, Ohio

From: "Schnaidt, Dona"

We have some very unhappy news from Liberty Chapter.
My Worthy Parton, Bill Givens has been diagnosed with Pancreas Cancer.
Bill will be journeying to Oklahoma City next week to speak
with a surgeon skilled in the fine art of pancreas resection.
Depending on the outcome of that conference Bill may be
undergoing surgery shortly thereafter.

I would like to request that Bill and Mary
be kept in the thoughts and prayers of our membership at large.

Love,

Dona

I had a call last from Faye (Ray's sister) with an update and address at the VA.
I called the VA to be sure how to show all of this on the envelope.
The VA will be doing another swallow test soon as well as other test to review for his treatment.
Faye said he is only scheduled for 90 days there.
He actually moved his right leg some and his speech is getting better.
He is in a semi-private room but does have the bed next to the window.
They will eventually have a phone for him.
The VA phone number is 919-286-0411.
Please continue the prayers for Ray. He has made so much progress.

March 19, 2008 Brother Ray Boswell, PGP continues to improve after his
stroke and has been moved to the VA Medical Center in NC.
This is closer for the family members helping with his care.
His speech is improving and he has moved his right leg some
during therapy. The feeding tube has been removed and he is
on soft foods.
Many of you have been asking for an address. This should be
good for about 3 months.

Please continue to remember Bro. Ray
and his family in your prayers.

Nina Mack ( Robert E. Spillman # 550) just called to advise
Dick's surgery was successful and he should be returning home
by tomorrow. Dick fell back in August and broke his leg the
weekend before he was scheduled for lung surgery. In all the
pretest surgery, they learned he needed a pace maker. He stayed
in the hospital for weeks to recover from all this and until he
was able to use crutches. At the time, doctors thought his leg
would heal, but now had to do surgery. Since many of you know Nina,
I felt it was time to let you know what they have been dealing
with since August.

Please remember them both.

Bill and Linda Lundy, members of Adoniram Chapter are in need
of your prayers. Bill is into his second month in Baptist Hospital
in LR, he has had several heart surgeries and is not recovering.
He was in a coma for sometime and is now sitting up, but does not
seem to know anyone or anything. Please keep each of them in your
thoughts and prayers.
