"Come on J.R., who will miss you?" Adam said, as J.R. looked down at the pearl handle gun that his daddy had given him so long ago. It seemed that J.R.'s life flashed before him. He saw His daddy taking him to Ewing Oil for the first time, then he saw his Momma hugg'n and love'n on Gary, nobody ever loved him like that. Again J.R. heard Adams voice. "J.R. it will be so much better," J.R. flashed back to when he and Sue Ellen married, how he loved her, but treated her so bad. "Come on J.R., Put the gun to your head..." J.R. thought about the birth of his son, then he thought back to when John Ross said he hated him, and wanted to live with his mother. J.R. pulled the gun up, "That’s it, just a little closer now." Adams voice rang through J.R.’s mind, would it be better if there were no J.R.? The gun was almost to his head. J.R. had the gun up to his head now. Just on more thing to do, his mind flashed back again, to the night they came home, and told his Momma that Jock was dead. J.R. started to pull the trigger, Adam smiled, "Yes, it will be so much better," Then J.R. heard another voice, "J.R.!!" J.R. let go of the trigger; he knew the voice, "J.R. that’s not the way that a real man gets out of trouble!" The voice was that of his daddy. Adam got an evil look on his face. "J.R. Put that gun down, and go get my company back!" Jock's voice rang all through J.R.’s body, then he heard another voice, it was Adams this time. Adam looked at J.R. with reddest eyes, and an evil look, Adam said, "DO IT!!!" J.R.'s alarm clock went off at sharply five o'clock J.R. jumped up and noticed he was in a cold sweat. What the heck happened last night? He figured that the voice must have been part of his dream. He stood up and heard his name.

“J.R.” Sue Ellen walked in and gave J.R. a kiss. "About time you get up. Are you sure you can make this trip?" Sue Ellen asked?

"Oh, I'll manage." J.R. got up and went into the bathroom to take a shower.

“I'm sure that John Ross and Christopher could go." Sue Ellen called.

"What?!" J.R. said from out of the shower. "No way, Ray and I are the ones that should be going, no one else."

Sue Ellen sighed and shrugged her shoulders. She walked out of the room and left J.R. alone. J.R. finished up his shower and as he got out he heard it:

"J.R."it was the same voice. "I'm going to get you" J.R. stopped everything.

"What are you doing back?" J.R. asked.

"I'm preparing you...see you soon...."

J.R. stopped and stood still for a minute. Nothing was said, He wasn't sure what was going but nothing was going to stop him from getting his daddy back.

The morning came and went. Sue Ellen noticed that J.R.> was pretty nervous. The Helicopter landed outside and was ready for it’s trip. Everyone stood around the yard saying their good-byes to the search party. J.R. hugged each of his children and his grandchildren. Ray and Donna also made their rounds, saying goodbye. The four got in and the family backed up. Ray started the engines and within a few minutes they were off.

The day was a beautiful one for Dallas. It was about 92 degrees, but with the wind it made the day a nice one. Frankie walked down the sidewalk in the park. In the same way that he had sent a note to Megan, she had sent one to him. Telling him to meet her at the same bench that he met her.

"Just sit down Frankie." Megan said as she walked up.

"So you've decided?" Frankie asked.

"Yes, I've decided that you are a creep, how dare you and your father make plans. You don't love me." Megan was getting upset. "Do you deny it?"

Frankie sat for a minute, looking at the ground. Then he looked up to Megan.

"No, it's true, I'm sorry, I really do love you..."

"I don't want to hear it, and I don't want to ever see you again." Megan walked away and left Frankie sitting on the bench, both had tears in their eyes.

The fog in the swampland was pretty bad. Almost too hard for Ray to land. He circled around a few times before finding a clear place. The chopper landed on the ground in South America and Mr. Clark walked up to the chopper.

"Mr. Ewing?" Clark said as J.R. stepped out.

"Yes, that’s me, and this is my wife Sue Ellen, my brother Ray Krebbs, and his wife Donna."

"It's a pleasure to meet you all. Thank you for coming." Clark showed them to his tent.

"When can we go to the site." J.R. asked, very eager.

"I thought I would fill you in first Mr. Ewing, let you know exactly what we found."

“Okay, go ahead.” J.R. said. “As I said, Jocks remains was found in a cave that was discovered when we drained the lake.” Clark said

“Why was the lake drained?” Ray asked

“Well, Jocks wasn’t the only life lost in that lake. About two years ago a plane crashed into the lake, killing two hundred people. As you may remember, the swamp is really, really muddy. The government paid to have the lake drained and the bodies rescued. In the process we found the cave. When we found a bag that belonged to Jock we went farther into the cave. That is where we discovered the remains of a man.”

“And how did you know it was my daddy?” J.R.> cut in.

“At first, we weren’t sure. Then after some tests, we discovered that it was, and that is when I called you.” Clark looked at J.R. Then said, "Well, I think that covers it, shall we go if you could follow in your chopper, it's right over the mountains, on the other said.

The Ewings got into their chopper and Mr. Clark and his men got into theirs. The choppers took off and started over the mountains. J.R. couldn't wait for it to land. Finally his daddy would have the proper burial.

“This fog really thick.” Ray said.

” “You want to land? Try again later?”

“Hell no..” J.R. cut in. “He’ll be fine.

“J.R. I think we should land, Oh Shi…Ray was cut off. The chopper had hit something and was descending..

"What’s going on." Donna said, as she clung onto Ray.

"I don't know,” Ray said as he tried to control the chopper. "Oh, no.."

“Ray do something!” J.R. yelled

“I’m trying!” Ray yelled back.

The chopper kept falling, Ray tried to control it but couldn't.

“Ray, you damned half breed! J.R.> yelled at his brother.

“J.R.!” Sue Ellen yelled, “Shut up and hold me.”

Ray looked and saw a piece of the mountain right below them, he tried to swing the chopper out of the way, but the tail end hit it.

“Oh J.R.” Sue Ellen cried

“I love you Sue Ellen, We’ll be okay.” J.R. reassured her.

The chopper went down, crashing in the trees. It broke into pieces, dabree going everywhere. No time to do anything but scream. Then there was silence.

The sun shone into Sam Starr’s office. Sam was on the phone to Grant trying to find out more about the time Jock had gone down to South America. As Sam hung up the phone. Frankie burst in.

"Hello Frankie, so when is the little date?" Sam asked with a smile on his face.

"There is no little date. She knows about the little plan." Frankie said getting into his fathers’ face.

"What, you told her?"

"She already knew, it was probably the freak you call a partner." Frankie responded. "I'm just here to let you know that I won't be your little helper anymore. I'm out a here." Frankie turned and started out of the office.

"Son, wait." Sam tried to get Frankie to come back, but it didn't work. Frankie walked out of the door and slammed it shut.

The fog was low to ground, which made it impossible to see five feet in front of you. The heat wasn’t too unbearable, but it wasn’t the best either. J.R. lay on the ground not able to move anything. He couldn't say anything. He tried to open his eyes but he couldn't. He was motionless. His mind raced back to when he and Bobby were in the plane crash in New Orleans. He knew his Daddy would save them, and even though it was Ray who found them, it was hid Daddy who sent Ray out. He thought about the many times that he was shot. How he felt he would die. Now he was sure he would die.

"J.R." J.R. heard his name. But he couldn't say anything.

"It's me again." J.R. was finally able to open his eyes. But what he saw was not what he expected. There in front of him was a man he hadn't seen in close to thirty years.

"Adam..."

"See J.R. you do remember." Adam said has he knelt down beside J.R.

"What in the world are you doing here?"

"Well, J.R., I told you there wasn't going to be another chance for my special offer...so I'm just helping you out." Adam looked at J.R. and grinned.

"What are you talking about?" J.R. was confused.

"You know what I'm talking about...I'll give you sometime alone." Adam disappeared leaving J.R. alone once again.

The curtains to John Ross’s office were closed to keep the sun from shinning in. Although the day was beautiful, it was also hot when it came through the windows. John Ross sat in his office looking over some paper work when his secretary came over the intercom.

"John, you have a call on line one."

John Ross picked up the phone.

"Hello?.........What!?!.......Oh, No......NO.....yes, right away." John Ross hung up the phone and went into James's office.

"James.... I just got off the phone with Mr. Clark in South America. There has been a crash, it's dad's chopper." James looked at John Ross.

What?" but....."

"I'm flying down there...are you coming?" John Ross said has he walked to the door.

"Of course. Justin will want to go to." James said jumping up.

The two brothers walked out the door.

The bright sun shined through the trees. J.R. knew he must have been lying still for days. He was cold, but yet, he was hot. He hadn't been able to move for what seemed like an eternity. He dozed off, then he would come to. He knew he was doomed. Suddenly J.R. saw a bright white light; he looked and saw a figure coming towards him. He wasn't able to open his eyes, but he could see more clearly than ever. As he looked he was sure that he has seen this person before.

"J.R." He heard another voice but this voice was harder, more deep. J.R. looked up again. He knew he had seen this man before.

"J.R. GET UP BOY." J.R. couldn't believe his eyes...

"Daddy?" J.R. felt himself standing up. "But you're...."

"J.R., I'm real proud of ya son." It was Jock.

"Daddy, I tried to make Ewing Oil the biggest and best." J.R. said.

"J.R., you did that and more now come on, come with Me.." Jock turned and started to walk away. J.R. looked at him.

"But, Daddy, I can't follow you, I have to stay here...." J.R. could now feel his body, but it was a strange feeling, he felt his legs go num. "Daddy, please wait." J.R. could now feel his arms, but like his legs, they went numb. "Daddy, please stay..." J.R. moved his head a little, "Daddy..." J.R. could feel his insides turning...and he felt something that he never had before. Daddy, wait, I'm coming with you." J.R. followed his Daddy, and when he caught up with him, he couldn't believe his eyes. J.R. looked and saw all the Ewings that had gone before him, and all the Southworths, everyone was there looking at him. And then JR saw her...his Momma. Ellie gave J.R. a hug. J.R. could no longer feel his numb body. He could no longer move. "Momma, oh how I missed you, you both." J.R. felt another feeling, this time in his chest. This time it was his heart.

"J.R." Miss Ellie grabbed his hand. As J.R.’s heart stopped. Miss Ellie looked at him and said. " Welcome home son.
