Welcome to my home on the web. I am an applied medical anthropologist (Ph.D., University of Florida, 2007 – Go Gators!) with an interest in international development, AIDS, and sub-Saharan Africa. My Curriculum Vitae is posted on this website, where you can learn more about who I am professionally.
I am currently serving in the nation of São Tomé and Príncipe (abbreviated "STP") – the smallest country in Africa – as the Project Director for a USAID-funded health project through the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA). For more information, pictures, videos, and a blog of our experiences in STP, click on the appropriate link(s) in the navigation bar to the left.
Aside from my work, I actively pursue several hobbies, including travel, freehand sketching, and website design. Please visit my Hobbies page to learn more about how I spend my leisure time.
Finally, if you would like to get in touch with me, please visit my Contact page, which lists several options – both standard and electronic. There, you may also request to join my opt-in electronic mailing list, where you can receive updates from the field as soon as they are posted.
Thank you for visiting my site. I hope you have a pleasant stay!
