This is obviously the page where I get to tell you all the new things that are happening in my life.  I'll try to keep this as  updated as possible, but you'll have to bear with me, as my time  is mostly spent on updating other pages. • October 12/00 ~ If it was a long time before between updates, I beleive it's longer now, and I have a lot more to tell about!

 

     hmm... got the driver's licence! No car yet, though. Still driving the old Buick. And Cody's truck, tee hee! I've almost got him whipped already, lol! What else... back to working 2 days a week again, thank god! That was way too stressful. Paychecks were nice though! But I still babysit Mon and Wed, although wed might have to go next week because band starts up again! YAY! I can't wait to see everyone again! Me and Megan need to raise a ruckus for the rookies, tee hee... the first day is always the worst for them, but that's the way it's supposed to be, lol! Hmm... playing volleyball as well, and that is just kickin'!!! We've actually got a really good team this year, so we're actually winning! We've been to a tournament already, got one this weekend, and one planned the weekend of halloween here, so we're kept pretty busy with that. You know the really funny thing? Boys have always dominated the sports of Simpson school. This year, everything has changed, baby! lol! We made some bets in gym the other day for some volleyball skill tests. Rules: Guys against girls, whoever lost the first skill test had to do 20 push ups. The next one was forty, and the last one was eighty. Well, lets just say the girls never had to do ANY push ups, lol! And it was even sweeter, because on the last skill, serving, the boys got really cocky, and decided to play double or nothing. tee hee... so they wound up doing 160 push ups on the last skill, lmao! Oh, that was funny to watch! They were all just about dead! And we beat the senior boys every time we play them for fun, so that's rather satisfying as well! Ah, the thrill of competition, lol!
     I've got some things planned for the near future as well. A new saddle will soon be sitting in my tack room, hehe!! Been thinking about buying a new one forever now, and I"ve finally got enough money to do it with! As well as a CD burner. I've got sooo many mp3' s on my computer, it's a shame to leave them all on there and never hear them anywhere else! So that's something I plan to get after the saddle. And then after that, I'll be saving for years to buy a car, lol! That will probably be done with a student loan (one of several I'm sure.) but that's ok. As long as I get some wheels! But that's about it for now, because this got really long! So I'll do more later if I can find the time to do it again, lol! L8ta G8tas.

• August 24/00~ Wow, I can't beleive how long it's been since I updated, lol! This is just insane! Well, since I last wrote, there's been a lot happening! I went to the Summersault concert on Aug. 7, and that was just amazing! Live music is like, the best thing ever invented, lol! Along with body surfing to it, of course :-) Did that several times, and it was soo much fun! The best was going while Raine Maida of Our Lady Peace was singing Automatic Flowers, and I looked right up at him as he was singing, and I was on top of the crowd... it was very cool. And then he got all of us singing the chorus to Clumsy, and that was awesome, too. Needless to say, I had a good time there, lol! The only problem was that it was reallllyyy muddy out, and I was wearing near-white parachute pants, and one of my favorite shirts, and both of them are really stained with mud now. Lisa (who I went with) has pictures of me, and I took one look at them, and I was like, "Oh my god! I can't beleive I had that much mud on me, and I could still breathe!!" But it was fun, so I didn't care!

   And last wednesday ( a week ago yesterday) I started working my five day a week shift. I start at 4 every day, and go usually until about 8:30, so it's  a 4-4 1/2 hour shift every day, and that's raking in a little money for me, lol!

    What else... oh yeah, the family member died, and I went to the funeral, and that was really emotional. But I'm ok, I'm just worried about his immediate family, because I go to school with one of his boys (he's my age, in my class), and I think it's kind of hard on him, and he deals with it in a way that isn't so good. But I won't go there, because that's not my business to say here. Oo!! I finally updated the page, lol! Theres something that doesn't happen very often, lol! I've been so busy lately, its really hard to do. Oh, me and Jody have been riding again, and I FINALLY got D into a trailer, after trying for like, 3 years!! I was sooo proud of him for that! He's really learning stuff by  leaps and bounds lately. Speaking of which, he's also jumping now, lol! And what else, he's doing really basic dressage, in a western saddle which is pretty cool. Me and Jody are going to the Royal Red Arab horse show in Regina this weekend, so we'll see lots of horses that are nicer than ours that we can drool over and dream about, lol!! That should be really cool! Arabs just rock, I love owning one.

    Hmmm.. other future plans... I start school two days before my birthday this year :-( That really sucks, but at least it's not on it, like last year!! lol! But I have to go to school, AND work that day, which really bites. I have no idea what I want for my birthday even, and I have no idea what I want to do to celebrate, either, although I should, because it's the big 1 6. Oh well. I'll find something last minute, lol! Oh, I go for my drivers licence on Sept 5. so I'm really hoping I can get that, and go visit Lisa up in her new place in the city!! I really hate makinfg her come all the way down here just to see me all the time, so now I can return the favor, :-) I'm not too struck on the thought of going back to school, though, because my summer is going so awesome, though! lol! Oh well. I'll live. That's about it for now. 

 
• August 2/00~ Holy, I can't beleive all the stuff that's happened since the last time I updated! Well, most important and shocking (well, maybe to you, but not me), me and Grant broke up :-( I know, it's kind a out of the blue again, but you know how things are with me. We hadn't seen each other in like, 3 weeks, and we didn't get to talk a whole lot, because he was busy working on the farm and stuff. So he suggested we take a break, which I think is a good thing. So yeah, that's about all that's going on with that. Let's see... A member of the family is in the hospital dying right now, and a family wedding was called off because of it... among other complications, but that's the basics of that. I don't really want to get into that. Oh, yeah... I went to camp from July 17-23, and that was awesome, except for Mike and Steve weren't there. That was weird.. the past three years they've been there with me, and it's like it's breaking tradition without them there. But they're there this week, so they should be having fun with that. They better come see me, too, lol! There was a lot of other people there who have been with me for like, the past two years, so it was like a big reunion, lol! I had a lot of fun! I REALLY missed my horse, though! You never appreciate how well trained and willing your own horse is until you ride a camp horse, lol! They kind of get ruined with a lot of different and inexperienced riders every week. And what else... next Monday I'm going to an awesome concert with Lisa and a few other people! That should be a lot of fun. Only problem is now that Grant isn't going, I"m stuck with a ticket that I need to get rid of! I don't really want to be stuck with a $50 ticket for nothing, so I'm hoping someone else really wants to go. I'm gonna try and get Rayn to come, because that would be really cool! Oh yeah, going to Buffalo days with Lisa tomorrow. Its like a big carnival type thing that happens every year, and it's usually got some pretty good rides. Not to mention the fact that we're going to see Matthew Good Band while we're there. They rock.  What else... I'm working five days a week now instead of 2. Yeah. That's a lot more hours, and a lot more money. So I figured I'd be a geek and buy a muchly needed new saddle with the approximately $600 I'll be getting in the next month or so, and whatever's left will go to something normal like clothes, or something like that. And I've also got a babysitting job two days a week, so I'm pullin in money from that too! lol! AND..... I've got my cousin's wedding (the one that's still on) in a couple weeks, so that should be a good party there! Other than that, there's not a whole lot new. I have to make my appointment to get my driver's licence (yay!!) soon so that I can actually get out of this hole every now and then, lol! It still probably won't happen, but oh well. I'm allowed to dream a little! Hmmm... I dropped out of the Web Brawls because with all the work, and babysitting, and actually having a life, I haven't really got time for all my internet endeavors again :-( Sorry guys. I seem to be getting a lot of music off it lately, though! lol! Gotta love the free stuff.  I know there's probably a million other things that happened that I should remember, but I don't. I could get into details about everything, but now looking at how long it took me just to briefly explain it all, I think that might take a little too long, lol!  So I guess I'll call it quits for now, and there will always be more later, lol! • July 11/00 ~ Summer is the sweetest season, I swear, lol! It's so nice to finally be able to look at the week ahead of me and honestly say I have nothing to do, lol! There's no deadlines for homework, nothing that I have to be at (except for work, but that's only twice a week, big deal). I've been riding a lot lately, so D's finally in shape again, lol! He's been learning a lot of new stuff. I taught him how to do walk to lope and lope to stop transitions, and he likes them so much that I can't get him to just trot anymore, lol! He immediatley thinks I want him to lope when I cue him to go faster than a walk, and then to slow down, he stops, and then I have to start at a walk again! It's kind of annoying, but at least he likes doing something hard like that. 

 

• June 27/00 ~ ::: runz around like chicken with head cut off::: YYYYYAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY!!!!! Last day of school today! All I gotsta do now is write two finals tomorrow, and then I'm all done for the next two months, lol!! And the finals will be a breeze, so I'm not even worried about that! This summer is gonna be such a blast! I've got tickets to a big concert with like, The Smashing Pumpkins, and Our Lady Peace, and the Foo Fighters, and a whole bunch of bands like that! And best of all, I'm going with two of the people I most like to spend time with :::Grant and Lisa::: Kent is also coming with us, but i don't know him as well, even though I stayed at his place for his grad party, lol!  I have that, plus camp, which always rox!!! I won't see Mike and Steve (the good one) there though, and that makes me mad. I miss those two. Mike, if you're reading this right now, you better damn well call me after you're done, lol!

  Yes, Grant is doing fine as well :::like he ever wouldn't be!::: It's been two weeks now, as of today, and it's all good!

• June 18/00~ Oh, I got some AWESOME news!! Got me a new honey, :::grinz::: I'll give you three guesses who it is, and if you don't know, you're an idiot. lol! Yeah, it's Grant! We started going out, after I finally asked him, last Tuesday, and it's been awesome! I got to spend the day with him when we both played in a baseball tournament on Saturday, and then we went to separate parties that night, but I went to the drive in with him last night, and that was all right! :::grinz some more::: This weekend has just been packed! I went to a grad ceremony on Friday, got home about 11:30, woke up the next morning to play baseball at about 7:30. Got done that by about 3, went to work, and then right from there I headed over to a nearby town for the grad party of the ceremonies of Friday! Rolled in from that at about 5:30 am, lol! And then we went for breakfast after ten min of sleep, and that was just funny! And then I got home, slept until I got woken up by a phone call at 2:30, got ready for work, and then worked until about 8:30. AND THEN, lol, I went to the drive in with Grant, and got home at about 12:30 am. Speak of the devil (or should I say angel?), I should call him tonight ;-) So yeah, I'm pretty tired. But it's all good!

    But I think I should go for now. I've been sitting on this stupid computer since 3:30, and it's now 8:30, so I think maybe it's time to get off before I totally destroy my eyes and back, and give myself carpal tunnel syndrome! lol! Later!

• June 3/00 ~ Yep. Bored bored bored. Got off work about an hour ago, and I should probably have a shower, because I reek like a french fry, but that's ok. I can live with it if I'm just typing. I did absolutely freaking nothing this weekend and it almost drove me insane. Can you tell I stayed home?? I did more to my page than has been done in months! lol! As well, I helped start up a new site with Meg, I think I mentioned that before. And what else...Web Brawls...Swanky.org (I got on the front page!! I'm so proud! :-) TONS of email has been coming in, and I find myself sitting on ICQ for like, hours talking to people that I know on the net, just figuring things out for all the stuff I'm participating in, and of course, generally just chatting!! lol! And I really need to get a decent set of headphones to plug into my computer...these ones are just crappy, and I've always got the mp3's going, so I think I need to buy some good ones. I have no idea where that just came from, but there's another sign that I'm bored. Random thoughts start popping out!

    But enough of my bitching about my coach, lol!! My day was actually pretty good! I saw Grant at the tourney, and he scorekept the last game, and he still said about two words the whole time. Hell, I even tried striking up conversation with him a few times, and he still wouldn't say any more than he had to!! Which confuses the hell out of me, because I don't know what he wants! He keeps calling me, and he says about the same amount on the phone, too, but then when i see him, it's like he's scared of me, or something. And he hasn't made a move yet,(well, not since the Watrous Grad, and then he tried to hold my hand at the Imperial pre-grad,. so this is why I know he likes me, but I don't know what to do!) so I don't know. It's kind of sickening, though. I wish he'd tell me what's going through his head, and what he wants from me! Grant is the one that I met at the Watrous Grad party, by the way. I don't think I mentioned that before! lol! I talked to him for a little bit there, and then he's been calling me ever since! I saw him at Imperial pre-grad party (He's graduating from there), and he was clinging to me. And once he was out cruising with his buddies, and I was out riding my horse, and somehow they made it out there, and stopped in and talked to me, lol! I was kind of freaked out, at first! I was like, "Ok, I just saw you last night, now how did you track me down out here? " But it was just a fluke that he cruised by on that road, is all. So I don't know. He's so quiet, I don't really think I like that. If I'm gonna be with someone, I at least need to be able to talk to them! lol! that's like, a basic need! Oh well. We'll see how it goes. I have a feeling I'll find out at Simpson Grad party, because that's this weekend, and we're both going, so something might happen there, I don't know! lol!

  I guess that's about it for now. Nothing really new on the site that I can think of. I might add some new links, but that will be in a little bit. More later, as usual.

• June 2/00 ~ Mike got a speeding ticket!! Hehehe. He's becoming more of a man by the minute! lol! He got the ticket May long weekend, thanks to good old photo radar! He now has to pay $72! I thought that was kinda funny! So yeah, I'm talking to him right now as I'm  typing, and he's in total suspense of what I might be saying, lol!! Oh, I love doing this!

  And what else...next weekend is the Simpson grad, so that will be one big party for two or three days! lol! Unfortunately, I have to work, and I wasn't too happy about that, because my cousin is graduating,(here's a pic of him, he's the one in the white pants) and I really wanted to be there for his grad. He's one of the cousins that I grew up with, and I get along with pretty well, so it's kind of important that I'm there. I'll make it late, though, because first I have to cater to the banquet to the stupid thing, and then I have to go back and help clean up a bit at work, and then go home and take like, an hour to get ready, and then FINALLY make it to the grad. I was ticked off at my boss, though, because I asked her SO nicely to get the night off if I could find someone to work for me, and she wouldn't let me, because she claimed that anyone I could have asked was working that night. See, I have to go and cater with her an someone else, and the others have to work the cafe while we're gone. Honestly, I could have found someone else to work for me, but I don't know why she wouldn't let me. She was like, "Well you'll be catering for it, so you'll get to see him all dressed up there." Does she not get the fact that it's not about seeing him all dressed up??? It's about being at the one and only freaking grad he'll ever have! That really makes me mad. But there's not a whole lot I can do about it, so oh well.

    Oo, Me and Meg are making a new site about band! It's still in the making right now, but it's coming along nicely! We got a whole bunch done on it today, and thanx to Meg, I finally have some pics of me with short hair up on the net! Check them out in the pics page, and there's also one of me up on the About Me page, but it's not a very good one. Hopefully Mike can fix that up for me, but I don't know if he can or not. Oh well. I'll live! lol, Maybe it's better that it's a little fuzzy! You can't see all the bad stuff that way! As well, I got a piece that I wrote up at swanky.org. It's kind of a literature site, and I'm glad I found it. Anyway, the piece is under the "pieces for you" section, and it's called Cheaters. Go check it out if you want, but it's kind of personal.

• May 29/00 ~ Busy busy busy! I've done way too much than is probably good for me in the past week or so! Played lots of ball, yet again, did a band tour today, went to the city, worked and extra day, and could have gone to the Imperial grad party, but I thought I needed to be on someone's list (Grant told me the next day that they were letting people in whether they were on it or not), and also went to the city and shopped for the first time in too long! I got lotsa new stuff and I can't wait to wear it all! Isn't it funny how clothes can make you all hyper and excited?? Ok, so maybe that's just me, but oh well! O also joined a little web page competition that's kinda like the Site Fights, but it's a Canadian version, which I appreciate called The Web Brawls. You might have noticed the new little graphic on the main page that says "Mystical Unicorns" on it. That's the team I'm on! Hopefully I can get something out of this! It's all in good funm and it's also good publicity, lol! You get a lot of hits when you enter something like that.

• May 15/00 ~ Well, a little more to say again. I went to a ball clinic last Sunday, and I learned a LOT there. It was all basic stuff, but see, now I know how to do it right.:-) It really helps when you get a clinician who's been to the Candy  Games (The Canada Games for you non-softball peeps), and has been doing clinics for three or four years. I really walked away with a lot from it. Hopefully, I should have a little more speed and accuracy on my pitch, and it's already obvious that how she taught us how to throw gets it there a lot faster!

    Oh yes, speaking of seeing people, Cara was down last night! Unfortunately, I was stuck at that clinic until about 3, and then had to come home and go to work at 5, and then work until 8. She came to see me while I was working, but since it was mothers day, it was busy, and I couldn't take any time to see her. I felt bad, because I haven't seen her in about 6 months. Hehehe, she walked into the cafe, and that was the first time she had ever seen me with contacts and short hair, and I watched and laughed as she did a double take, and then went, "Holy Crap! I didn't recognize you!" So then I hustled on clean up, and booted it out to Don's so I could catch her before she left (and I was really tired by then, because it was SUCH a long day), but I only got to talk to her for about 15 min, and then she had to leave! I think she needs to steal the truck a little more often, though, because she's got her license now, so she needs to come down a lot more :::hint hint, Cara!!::: I was gonna show her all the cool stuff I've been telling her about D lately ( Yes, many more advancements in training with him!), but she had to go before I got a chance. I took him for a quick spin anyway, and he was sooo awesome! I've finally got him collecting himself consistently, and well, and he's doing lead changes for the first time in at least three years, and all his basic stuff is just aced! So right now, I'm searching horsey sites to find some tips on working up to flying lead changes and basic dressage (even though I ride western, i think he has the potential). So yeah, I'm really happy with him right now. He's doing so well when I haven't had any time to get out there and teach him things. He's funny that way, he soaks it up better if he has time in between rides to think about what I've taught him. He's always better after I leave him for a bit and then get back at it a few days later. But, now that I've typed a bloody novel, I'll get to that updating I need to do so desperately!!

• May 10/00~ Ahhh... Finally!! Some time to do this! lol! It's been forever since I've actually been able to update this thing! Life has been incredibly hectic lately, and my poor site has suffered because of it. I'm currently super busy with track (as in every day after school, and at lunches if I can't make it then) and baseball (three times a week, at least), plus work, school, still a little bit of stuff with band coming up soon, plus actually having a life in between that! Oh, it's insane! Most of the time I have something I have to do every day. I was quite surprised with my last term report card, though! I got a 93 in geography, 95 in science (looking good for that veterinary career I would love...), and get this...

  So yeah, baseball is going awesome! For those of you who don't know, baseball is my next favorite thing to horses. Yeah, I like it just a bit! lol! I'm playing with the Imperial team, since Simpson hasn't got enough players, yet again. This year I'm playing pitcher and first, although i've also been known to play third and short as well. Mostly I pitch though. I love pitching, although it can put you under a lot of stress. Right now, since I'm just starting again this year, I'm working on getting my accuracy back ( broke something in the living room yesterday as I was practicing my technique without a ball, lol!) so the speed is still fairly slow. Hey, there's something for me to do! I should check out some baseball sites (softball to be exact) and check out some pointers. Anyway, as usual, I'm being called to go do something else, (I have to go eat... Oh yeah, throw that into the mix of things to do as well! lol!) so I'll do a little more later! C ya!

 Oh, hey, if you're really bored, and are for some reason interested in the treatment of municipal water, here's a science project I whipped up in about 2 hours (normally, that's about how much I spend just updating this site!)
