            There are many things to like about Turok Evolution. Like for example, when you first fire it up, the first thing you notice is the graphics and speed. They are both impressive, and the extent of plant and animal life is really good. Exploring the levels is also really fun, but thats where the game starts to have problems.

       First of all, the key to a good shooter game is the targeting system. The player has to be able to become one with the targeting system (a really good example is Halo). The targeting system in Turok, although fast, is not smooth and makes aming difficult. Even if you turn on the auto targeting  the game doesnt help you that much. Fortunetly, the games sniper control is a little better, but overall this area of the game left me frustrated.

       Turok also introduces some flying levels to break up the action. They arent horrible, although they could have used some improvement. Probably the best thing about this game is the multiplayer.

       In the end, I am disappionted by Turok. The lackluster targeting system is downright horrible. I just bareley consider this game to be worth playing, as it is just above average. This game could have been one of the great ones, but the faulty targeting system cannot be denied.
