Star
Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

Knights
of the Old Republic is an epic role-playing game set in the Star
Wars universe many years before the original movie series, and its
mighty impressive. The game spans across 6 huge planets, all filled
with numerous sidequests and townsfolk to meet. You can acquire
up to 9 characters in your party, each with surprisingly deep backgrounds
and varied personalities. You'd be surprised what you'd learn if
you talk to them. And many aspects of their background and history
tie into the main story.
The game features a deep and involving battle system. Each character
has a unique affinity for the types of abilities they acquire. There
are numerous abilites, skills and Jedi powers to acquire. Jedi powers
are classified among Light Side, Dark Side and Universal. A Jedi's
ability to use certain powers are determined by the type of power
it is, and the side of the force the Jedi follows. For example,
a Jedi who follows the light side will have greater abilites with
light side powers than those who follow the dark side, and vice-versa.
The side of the force you follow is determined by the types of decisions
you make in the game. A certain two or three choices of a diologue
could actually drive the outcome of the game in an entirely different
direction, and can also affect how much your party interacts and
trusts you.
Overall, and fan of RPGs and Star Wars games should definitely not
overlook this one. The epic story, character interaction, and deep
battle system provide for many hours of engrossing gameplay.
