The
Lions are Changing for the Better
This Sunday's
victory marked an important change in the Detroit Lions franchise.
No longer the joke of the NFL for their 26 game road losing streak,
the Lions are now 3-0 on the road this season. But they are 1-2
at Ford Field which means the Lions are one of only a few teams
to play better on the road than at home. The Lions Sunday had to
come back from their worst loss of the season a 38-10 Home Loss
against the Packers who the week before looked horrible.
The Giants
fell victim to the Lions rebound on Sunday as the Lions went 4-2.
The game was a come behind Victory as the lions came back from 10-7
defeict to take the lead and then the game. The Lions defense harasshed
Kurt Warner with 6 sacks and forcing him to fumble the ball 3 times.
The only interception the Lions took was at the end of the first
half by a diving Chris Cash. The lions eneded the Giants 4 game
winning streak and dropped them to 4-2.
The Lions are
one win away from matching last years win total when they went 5-11.
The Lions are at their best start since Matt Millen took over as
President in 2001. The entire road losing streak has been during
his era. This season was suppose to be another rebuilding season
as Coach Maruicci is in his second season with the team since coming
over from San Francisco. The only player from San Francisco on this
roster is Tai Streets who is the Lions second recieving option this
year since Charles Rogers went down with an injury in week one.
The team this week will to play the Dallas Cowboys at texas Stadium.
As previously mentioned, the Lions are 3-0 on the road so this shouldn't
be too much of a problem. The Cowboys are off to a bad start this
season after making a change at Quaterback from Quincy Carter to
Vinny Terterverde. The Cowboys also are in their first year of having
Eddie George as their running back. Bill Parcells' team has struggled
this year after making a surprise playoff appearance last season.
