NBA Trade Deadline Approaches
by Fresh S
As the NBA trade deadline approaches this week, many players are rumored to be moved.
Karl Malone- he himself believes the jazz want to move him. The most likely trade would send him to Dallas. Dallas is showing the most interest in him. Dallas will likely give up Juwan Howard and others will surely be involved.
Jalen Rose- it sounds the pacers just might move him. Most likely destination: Chicago. Chicago has a tru center, Brad Miller, and the Pacers want to get a tru big man to play next to Jermaine O'Neal. The deal will proabably be involving, Brad Miller, Jalen Rose, Ron Artest, Charles Oakley, Bruno Sundov, and Travis Best.
Marc Jackson- as of now, 5 teams are interested. Jackson had a terrific rookie season last year but this year he has been plagued by injury and lack of playing time. The magic, mavs, knicks, pacers and suns are all showing interest.
Nick Van Exel- Van Exel has made it clear he wants out of Denver. He will VERY likely be moved by the deadline. It seems the Knicks are offering Houston or Sprewell.Ý The deal may be: Spree and Camby for Van Exel and Raef LaFrentz.
Bryan Russel: Russel may be moved to the Celtics. The nets are also showing some interest in acquiring the swingman.
PISTONS: The one guy that Joe D (pistons GM) really wants is Keyon Dooling. Dooling is a young point gaurd currently on the Clippers roster. Rumors have been heard that Joe D plans to give up a combo or any of the following people: Mikki Moore, Victor Alexander, Ratko Varda, Brian Cardinal and Dana Barros. This may happen but there is no pressure on Joe Dumars to pull something off. The pistons will have a lot of cap space this year and the following. Joe D doesn't want to mess that up. Plus, the pistons are proabably going to make the playoffs. Joe D can sit back and pull off a trade if needed.
The trade dealine
is February 21.
