Democracy means the rule of the mob. It has given us abortion, sodomy and toleration of witchcraft, idolatry, blasphemy and heathenism. American Christians had better wake up - this is not "God's country" and it is no improvement over historic Christendom.

Now therefore, be wise, O kings;
Be instructed, you judges of the earth.
Serve the LORD with fear,

Monarchy, empire, arisocracy and republic are all valid forms of human government. It is not the FORM that matters. If anything, the Bible assumes and approves of rule by a king.
...submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake, whether to the king as supreme, or to governors, as to those who are sent by him...

Foolish Christians today claim that it is ungodly to dissent from our humanist and democratic governments. They believe those who won't vote have no right to complain. But those who vote and still complain are only sore losers. Christians should hold out for real Christocracy, not voting for the "lesser of two evils" - which is, after all, EVIL.
Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers.
For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness?
And what communion has light with darkness?
And what accord has Christ with Belial?

The Bible nowhere teaches that government is the product of "we the people". Instead, God demands that civil leaders submit to Him. A Christian government would own the covenants of its godly predecessors, publically recognize Christ as King, and reform its laws in a Biblical pattern. May God hasten the day of Christendom's victory!
