CHURCH  MINISTRIES
These reference pages, produced by the Church of the Assumption, is a brief compendium of the various services, ministries and groups available in our Parish.  It is designed to serve as a handy reference.  The purpose for providing this reference is twofold.  First, as stated above, it is to serve as a ready reference to old and new parishioners who need to utilize one or more of the Parish's services.  In this regard, there is a name and telephone number included in the listing to provide a faster response to their needs.  The second reason for this reference is to stimulate all parishioners to join one or more of the parish ministries or groups and thus become a more integral part of this Christian community.  So often people have a desire to help or volunteer but are unaware of the various opportunities available to them.  Hopefully this reference will enable all to find that joy and elation that comes with assisting others.  This is the true meaning of Christianity.

Since this reference will only be revised as needed, the contact names and phone numbers may change in the interim.  Should you be unable to reach the designated contact, please call the Rectory (201) 262-1122 for assistance.

1 Peter 4:10
"Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's Grace in its various forms."

Aids Ministry:

With more than 31,000 New Jersey residents currently living with HIV/AIDS, your time and compassion can help educate and provide referrals to sufferers and their caregivers.  Visitations to hospitalized or homebound AIDS patients are coordinated through this Ministry.  Although experience providing care for the sick is a plus, what we truly need are concerned individuals with a desire to help.

Apostolic Needs Committee:

Receiving a special item can lift your spirits.  If that item is a basic necessity you've had to do without, it cannot only lift your spirits, but tell you that you are not forgotten.  It can give you the determinition to move forward.  It can give you hope.  As followers of Jesus, our faith community seeks to carry on his Ministry of supporting those in need.  Little experience is needed, except to want to help those that are less fortunate.  You will be organizing goods, packing them and possibly delivering them to area agencies.
