Hartwick Classic Leadership Case Study focuses on Teresa's unconventional (for her time and place) leadership style which can only be described as assertively entrepreneurial. It enables students to reflect, generally, on how styles of leadership differ, and, in particular, on questions concerning whether and how the how leadership styles of men and women differ. Students are encouraged to diagnose their own gender beliefs and stereotypes, particularly as they apply to the process of leadership. Finally, it reveals the possibility of an androgynous style of leadership in which the strengths of both genders are tapped and adapted to the situation at hand 5/02
