My name is Julie McQuade and I am a hot glass artist.  I create aritsan  lampwork glass beads.

I have been lampworking since 2003 and creating jewelry since 2002.  The glass that I use in my designs is reffered to as soft glass because it has a lower melting point than other types of glass.  Vetrafond, Efferette (both Italian Glasses) and Lausha (German Glass) are used in my glass designs.

I primarily make sculptural flowers, that is what I love to do.  I take great pride and joy in reproducing what I see in nature through my glass designs.  All my sets are One-Of-A-Kind (OOAK), because my designs are handmade, now two can every be alike.  I'm also A Self Representing Artist (#M12).  Which means when you purchase my beads you are purchasing directly from the artist (Me :) ), and that you are purchasing from an artist that puts much time and devotion in the art of glass and takes great pride in the quality of the beads being created.
