| These Amulet Bags are made to be worn as necklaces, but you can wear them however you like. There are a number of techniques I use to create these bags. Peyote Stitch: With this stich, I can incorporate a specific picture, pattern, etc. into the bag. This stitch is a solid stitch, and there are no 'holes' in it, as opposed to the net stitch. Net Stitch/Right Angle Weave: This stitch reminds me of a fish-net. There are 'holes' in this stitch, as it is not a 'solid' stitch. However, the holes are only about the size of two seed beads, so nothing could fall out. Any color combination can be used. Loom Woven Bags: This type of bag requires the use of a loom. The first few bags I ever made, a few years ago, were made on a loom. I do not make bags using the loom, unless one is specifically ordered using that technique. Below are thumbnailed pictures of the amulet bags. Click on the picture to see larger and close up pictures. |
