North Beckley Midget Football would like to introduce our program.  North Beckley Football was started in 1991. We are a division of and are governed by the Southern West Virginia Youth Football League. North Beckley is a non profit, all volunteer organization.  Our organization consists of a panel of volunteers that include, but are not limited to, a President, Vice President, Secretary and a Board Of Directors all of which are determined by the parents of the participants. Our coaches are not professionals, they are parents who are willing to volunteer  many hours of their time to share their knowledge of football and cheerleading with the children.  They are dedicated to teaching every child sportmanship, respect, self discipline, team spirit, pride and self esteem.
We are quite proud of our program, especially our safety record.  We feel the reasons for this are that we provide the
very best equipment available to our players. They are well coached by our volunteers with the safety of the players being the primary concern at all times.  All players are rewarded regardless of playing time or ability.
We do charge a registration fee that covers equipment  and uniform replacement cost, league dues etc.  Families with more than one child will receive a discount.
North Beckley provides all equipment needed except for shoes.  For football players, rubber (not metal) cleets are recommended.  Generally cheerleading coaches will inform parents of which
shoes to purchase.  Equipment will be issued and parents will sign a consent of responsibility. All equipment is property of North Beckley's and must be returned after the season.
We DO offer insurance, at no additional cost to the parents, for children that do not have their own insurance.  Our coaches are instructed , in case of a serious injury, to call 911 and seek immediate professional attention.  The injured party is responsible for any costs incurred and North Beckley is released from liability.
North Beckley, in conjunction with Southern West Virginia League, requires that all football players have a current (no more than 3 months old) physical with a physicians signature, before they can begin physical contact at practice.
Parents, please exhibit the traits of good sportsmanship
while attending all games and practices.  All of the coaches and
organizers are volunteers and are only interested in the children having fun in a safe environment, as well as learning the basics of football. The amount of playing time, the number of games won or lost is NOT a determining factor when considering the success of your child's experience with Youth Football.
