Talented and athletic pitcher with a good arm....expected to see double-duty as a pitcher and an outfielder in 2008. 2008: Emerged as regular rightfielder for the Jackets earning second team All-ACC honors along with an Academic All-America second team selection along a spot on the CoSIDA Academic All-District III first team....hit safely in final 12 games of the season....selected in the 2nd round of the June Draft by the Colorado Rockies.
2007: Obtained medical redshirt (tendinitis in his throwing arm) after appearing in only one game, a Feb. 16 relief outing against Illinois-Chicago....pitched and played in the outfield for the Colleyville LoneStars of Texas Collegiate League during summer....led Colleyville with .316 batting average while seeing regular duty as OF/DH....also went 2-1 over eight appearances during summer....Member of the 2007 ACC Academic Honor Roll.
