Beaverdam Creek at Backbone Rock State Park, TN
The creek does a hairpin turn around and through some cliffs. One would expect strong rapids at that location, but the good rapid in the vicinity was on the straight-away leaving the cliffs. The road crosses the creek at each end of the hairpin turn and passes through a tunnel.

There was a picture that I saw when I was on the creek that I wished that I had taken, but did not:
As the creek enters the town of Damascus, VA it starts to skirt some backyards. The owners of two houses had built two parallel fences within a short distance of each other, and one of them had black plastic tacked onto the top. It looked like the neighbors had tried to outdo each other with the fences.
I would have called the shot: Bad neighbors make good fences.
