In the heart of wine-making country, in the medieval village of St Thibéry, a large Maison de Maître which lay empty for 5 years, is being brought back to life by the current owners to provide an elegant and friendly place to spend your vacation, with a little theatricality thrown in as well.

Accommodation includes 3 stylishly decorated Bed and Breakfast rooms all with en suite facilities, as well as 2 self catering apartments.

St Thibéry and surrounding area

With more than 4000 years of known history Saint Thibéry was named in the 9th Century by the Benedictines, although the village dates back to Roman times, when it was called Cessero, which gives its name to the local wine. The present abbey and church date from the 14th Century.

The village boasts 2 bakeries, a butcher, a small supermarket and a couple of bars. Larger shops can be found at Pezenas, less then 10 mins drive away.

Saint Thibéry is less than 20 minutes drive from bustling Bèziers with its famous Friday flower market, boutiques, varied bars, restaurants and theatre.

Forty minutes in the opposite direction is Montpellier, offering all the excitement of a thriving metropolis.

The long sandy beaches of the Mediterranean are only 15 kilometers away. At Cap d'Agde you'll find the largest nudist beach in Europe!!

HOW TO GET TO US RETURN TO TOP

The nearest international airport is at Montpellier where British Airways and Air France have regular flights to Paris, London and the rest of Europe.

For those flying from the UK cheaper flights are available with

flybe. fly away for less! from Birmingham, Bristol or Southampton to Perpignan and Toulouse

BmiBaby from East midlands and Cardiff to Toulouse

Ryan Air from Stanstead to Montpellier, Carcassonne, Perpignan and Nîmes

Barcelona airport only 3 hours drive away has international flights from many destinations worldwide

CAR HIRE
If you wish to hire a car, click here for links to various companies that operate in the area. We are only 3 Kilometers from Exit 34 on the A9 Autoroute. Alternatively if you don't wish to fly or drive, you can catch the Eurostar to Paris (or Lille where the change is easier) and then the TGV to Bèziers or Agde for a scenic train journey.

There are regular trains from the above airports to Bèziers or Agde (timetables can be obtained from SNCF).

For those coming down by motorbike, we have ample secure parking in our lock up garage.
