Despite having our way blocked by an exceptionally high Equinox tide, we had a good 1st coach trip. Highlights were passage migrant waders Little Stint & Curlew Sandpiper, Buzzards, Red-legged Partridge, c50 Curlew in one field, several magnificent Stonechat. Also commented on the numbers of Little Egret and said farewell to some late Swallows.

We saw bullfinch and eventually hawfinch at Lynford Arboretum before moving on to Lackford Lakes. Among the highlights: siskin, goosander, marsh tit, and lots of duck. |

Although we were sorry not to see our first spring wheatears, most of us were delighted to see firecrest at the Observatory. On the reserve highlights included goldeneye, slavonian grebe, marsh harrier, little gull and water pipit. |
