Updated every year, thus better chance to see newly constructed roads. Names of major cities are supplemented in English, but not for small towns.Lineup
These three lineups are of different scales but basically with same details. Atlas-1 is the original product. Atlas-2 has extra street maps of major cities, but of little use unless you can read Thai. Folder is the cheapest and easiest to carry, thus good value. scan |

This is a fairly detailed and accurate (seemingly GPS-compatible) map of Thailand. Each province is assigned two spread pages, with some extra large-scale street maps of major cities. While, like any other maps, it ignores many interesting minor roads - especially in the border area, its detail and accuracy of minor roads in general are something no other maps have attained. It also provides detailed annotation (eg. names of temples and reservoirs). For explorers and surveyers, this atlas may be worth its price. Caution: some roads still under planning solidly appear on this map. -- See also MapMagic Thailand 2005 |

This is the newest version of all PN maps. Compared to other PN maps, its background topography has been largely improved. One drawback is that minor roads are denoted by white lines (green lines in other PN maps), whose contrast is not clear against the background. Also, its small scale of 1:1,100,000 means that considerable amount of details are sacrificed, although it is still a pretty detailed atlas of Thailand. -- See PN Map Series UPDATED |

The 2003 version (new generation) has seen much improvement over the 2002 version (old generation). Its details are about on a par with above-mentioned Highway Map atlas, but this one is smaller in size and easier to carry on a motorcycle trip. One disadvantage is that it totally lacks topographical background which looks so beautiful in the atlas. Its scale is printed as 1: 1,200,000 on the cover page but, on the map itself, it's printed as 1: 1,150,000. Warning: A lot of 2002 maps are sold in the 2003 cover!! 2003: Two folders are separetely attached to the cover. 2002: Two folders are glued together, then attached to the cover. -- See PN Map Series |

First published as "Motoring Travel Atlas of Thailand" in 1997, this is the 2nd edition. This is an extraordinary -- if not an excellent -- map. In some areas, it shows an exquisite network of dirt roads, surpassing any other maps available. In other areas, however, it is utterly inferior. It doesn't even show a road to Phu Chee Fah in Chiangrai Province. Names of small villages are provided. Tentatively suggested for more-than-ordinary explorers. -- See Sample Link |

This map uses the data from the Thailand Atlas, but with reduced scale and precision. As a road map, this is not so much of value. What is unique with this map is that it shows detailed local maps of 51 major cities in Thailand. -- Link UPDATED |

No major changes have been made, except that 1. it has been downsized to A4 size 2. the atlas now contains street maps of 76 cities. Like its previous version, this is an odd map. Its highway data is now substandard, and its street maps tend to contains errors. |

This atlas is somewhat similar to the above listed Thailand Road Atlas by the Lotus Image. While it spares many pages to describe detailed street maps of local cities, its highway map is substandard. In Thai language only. There's no English transliteration even for major cities like Bangkok or Chiangmai. |

The Political and Physical series comes in 4 volumes to cover whole Thailand. Namely: 1. Northern Thailand 2. Northeastern Thailand 3. Eastern, Western, Central Thailand 4. Southern Thailand #1, #2 and #4 have a "Political and Physical" logo on the cover page, but #3 doesn't. Also, incoherently, #1 carries more details around Sangkhlaburi than #3. Two sides of the folder carry the same road map but with different backgrounds. The "political" side shows different provinces in different colors, whereas the "physical" side shows simple topography. -- See PN Map Series |

Side A This is a handy map for half-day trips from Bangkok, but its coverage may not be large enough for full-day trips. Its large scale of 1: 350,000 allows more details of minor roads around Bangkok than any other maps available. Side B Blank page. -- See PN Map Series |

Side A This is a large-scale map of Chiangrai Province with unprecedented details but, as with other PN maps, dubious accuracy. Side B Street map of Chiang Rai (1: 20,000). -- Sample scan (cf. Sample scan of B&B Thailand North) See PN Map Series |

Side A Dubbed as "PATTAYA" on the cover page, this is actually a pretty detailed map of Eastern Thailand. Side B Street maps of Pattaya City (1: 15,000), Pattaya - Chom Thian Area (1: 40,000) and Ko Chang (1: 100,000). -- See PN Map Series |

Side A This map largely overlaps with above-mentioned Map of Eastern and, where it does, its details are mostly identical except for some added landmarks. Side B Streep map of Nakhon Ratchasima City (1: 15,000). Detailed map of Khao Yai National Park (1: 200,000). This can be seen on the cover page, but the same precision is not to be expected for the smaller-scale Side A. -- See PN Map Series |

Side A This can be the best detailed road map of Kanchanaburi Province available at the moment. Yet, while some ultra-minor dirt roads are shown matter-of-factly, some important paved roads are missing. Side B Street map of Kanchanaburi City (1: 25,000). -- See PN Map Series |

Pretty detailed. Also covers major dirt roads. Outdated around Nan. The 4th edition has no improvement over the 3rd edition (1999).This map is still the best choice for general motorcycle trips in north Thailand. In some areas (eg. Ban Hin Taek - Mae Kham), it is the only source of road information, thus indispensable for explorers. But you need another supplementary map to see newly constructed roads. (Note: B&B Chiangmai is a subset of B&B Thailand North, leaving out Chiangrai and Nan areas, but with more detailed map of Chiangmai city.) -- Sample scan Link |

This map is essentially the same one you get when you buy the "MapMagic Bangkok 2004" but smaller (1: 92,000 vs 1: 80:000) and laminated.Somehow, inexplicably, this map has been slightly cropped compared to the MapMagic folder, thus missing portions of the eastern edge and southern edge of Bangkok. Still, a good choice if you don't need the CD. Also available from this (Mini Map) series are: Map of Nakhon Nayok - 149B Map of Phuket - 179B Map of Chonburi + Rayong - 159B Map of Thailand - 159B |

This map covers whole Bangkok as well as Samut Prakan, Nonthaburi and Pathum Thani. Pretty detailed. Only names of major roads are supplemented in English. Roads under constuction or even under consideration solidly appear on the map, causing a bit of confusion. Recommended for exploring outskirts of Bangkok. |
