R.L. Griffin's Blues Palace #2, 3100 Grand Avenue (at Meadow), Dallas, Tx 75215. 214-421-9867. R&B and blues nightclub run by The Right Reverend of Dallas Blues, R.L. Griffin. Occasionally books major road acts like Bobby Bland and Bobby Rush. On site parking with security. Rough area, be careful. Holds about 750. 

Cadillac Pizza Bar, 112 S. Kentucky St., McKinney, Texas.  Pizza joint with brick oven pizzas and occasional live blues.  Plenty of free street parking.

Cottage Lounge, 3006 W. NW Highway, Dallas.  214-358-3018.  Occasional live blues.

Cowboy Lounge, 3016 Colonial, Dallas, TX. 214-426-1993.  After hours joint with weekend music starting around midnight and going until.  Rough area.  Be careful.

The Flame Steakhouse, 3375 W.Euless Blvd.(Hwy.10)@South Pipeline/Sotogrande Euless, TX817-267 6401  Funky little country bar/steakhouse with occasional live blues. Christian Dozzler solo Tuesdays 7-10 pm.  Great chicken fried steak. 

Granada Theater, 3524 Greenville Ave, Dallas, Tx 75206      (214) 824-9933.  Beautiful old theater, revamped as a music hall.  Great sound and sight lines.  Tasty pizzas.  Parking on Greenville still sucks.  Go early.       www.granadatheater.com

Hole in the Wall, 11654 Harry Hines Blvd, Dallas, Tx 75229.  972-247-2253. Tiny hamburger joint with live music Tues-Sat. J & J Blues Bar, 937 Woodward, Fort Worth, Tx 76107.817-870-2337. Medium sized club that books national, regional, and local blues bands and occasionally cajun and rock bands. Plenty of free parking. Holds about 250. Sunday jam. All shows 9:30 pm.  Booking-Christi Haas. J&J Blues Bar Website

Longhorn BBQ, 124 N. Hwy 67 (at belt line), Cedar Hill, Texas.  972-293-2111.  Nice little BBQ joint where KM Williams plays a couple of times a month.  Check his website for schedule. 

Lota's Goat, 7248 Gaston Ave, Dallas, TX. (former location of The Office Lounge). 214-327-8119. Mixed format with occasional blues.

Mardi Gras Cafe,  2720 N. Stemmons Frwy (I-35E, northbound service road north of Motor Street), Dallas.  214-404-8425.  New cajun restaurant with plenty of lighted parking and occasional live blues.  Good food, plenty of paved parking.  Located on the ground floor of the SOUTH tower (closest to the freeway) in the Stemmons Towers complex.  Look for the awning and the strobe light.

Nate's Seafood, 14951 Midway Road, Addison, TX 75001.  972-701-9622.  Good cajun seafood place with live blues on Thursday night at 7:30-11:30 pm.  Annual week long blues fest.  Obnoxious valet parking guy blocks off most of the parking spaces.  You can go around to the Sam's on Beltline, park behind Nate's and walk around.   Nate's Website

Poor David's Pub, 1313 South Lamar, Dallas, Tx. 214 821-9891. High profile,27 year old, eclectic club that rarely books national, regional, and local blues acts. This was the starting place and home base for Anson and the Rockets. Nachos and munchies. NEW location. Poor David's Website
