About the Club

The Bedlington Terrier Club of the West is a club dedicated to the promotion of interest in the Bedlington Terrier breed. We like to encourage new fanciers and we hold an annual Bedlington Terrier Specialty Show in June.

The Bedlington Terrier Club of the West also works toward the eradication of Copper Toxicosis through the education of breeders and prospective owners.

BTCW Introduces New Trophy
at Specialty in June, 2003

The BTCW has introduced a new Challenge Best of Breed Trophy at its specialty show in June, 2003. This trophy, a beautiful life-size bronze head study of a Bedlington Terrier created by reknown Washington artist Denis Springer, can be taken home by the exhibitor who wins Best of Breed three times. The wins do not need to be consecutive or with the same dog.

The trophy has been donated by Batyah Taban of DeHayyim Bedlingtons and Dolores King of Sudor Terriers in memory of Lucy Heyman's Bedlington, Ch. Carillon Boulevardier, commonly known as "Mo."
