Case/David Brown Tractor site

rebuilt, repainted, ready for some dirt work again!

Welcome to a site for Case/David Brown 380 Tractors
After searching the internet for hours on end.... I noticed
that there was NO site that handled the Case 380 or David Brown 885.
This site is dedicated to these fine tractors.

The tractor you see above is the one I just purchased/rescued from a field after siting for 5 years. After spending a few hours trying to get the fuel system primed....the motor actually fired up. Didnt run real good and had the worse diesel knock I had ever heard, but it did run. After running it for a few hours, I decided to pull off the head to find out why it was blowing oil or unburned diesel from the exhaust. Once I pulled the head I realized the pistons had way to much clearance so I pulled the engine out. Once it was out I noticed one of the connecting rods didnt even have a rod bearing on it, no metal in the pan either???? did the last person to work on this machine actually leave it off and say the hell with it?? and can u believe it ran for years with out having a rod bearing on it at all. I knew the people that last owned it and parked it in the field, and I do remember it being a loud motor, but I thought diesel motors just were loud..... Well a new crank, New pistons, sleeves, quick valve job, lots of other parts and she ran like new again....Well a little update on my case, after 2 years of running it and using it around the property and in my sign business, I havent had any problems at all. Well except for the oil leak from the rear main seal. I had a feeling that was going to leak, it didnt seem like a good fit and went in the groove very hard. But the front end loader is very very strong and to this day I havent found anything it wont lift. I removed my Miller big 40 welder off a trailer and it weighs a few thousand pounds. I also lifter a huge 30' long x 36" high I-beam...with NO problem at all....very nice loader!! Hope you enjoy looking at the pictures in the gallery. Feel free to send me pictures of your Case/David Brown tractor. I would love to put them in here too. Or if you have just some info you would like to share please feel free to email me. I finally updated my email address so you can send pics, etc to it again. Sorry for any inconvience in this matter.
   Thanks and enjoy!
