Information
Alright, here's a little info on Blink if you just heard about them and want to get the low down on the band.

Members: Mark Hoppus, Tom Delonge, Travis Barker

Location: Usually up and about San Diego, and touring

Who plays what: Mark Hoppus on bass and vocals, Tom Delonge on guitar and vocals, and good old Travis on drums

Albums: Cheshire Cat, Dude Ranch, and Enema of the State, The Enema Strikes Back, Take Off Your Pants and Jacket

Style of Music: Speed driven punk tunes that will stay in your head and make you want to play the Cd over and over. Esentually, new school Punk rock.

Demos: Flyswatter, and Buddah

Singles (played on the radio): Dammit, Josie, All The Small Things, What's My Age Again?, M+M's, I Won't Be Home For Christmas, Adam's Song, Man Overboard, and The Rock Show

Aditional info: Blink 182 was Blink before they ever became Blink 182. They were going to be sued by an irish techno band or something if they didn't change their name. The band had a different drummer before Travis, his name
was Scott Raynor. Scott made all of the records except Enema of the State.

Blink 182 is in the movie American Pie, they proform Mutt.
Blink is also very popular in Australia.

BlinkFreak's opinion on each of Blink's albums and demos.

Flyswatter: WARNING, DO NOT BUY THIS DEMO! IT IS COMPLETE CRAP! THE GUYS CAN NOT SING ON ANY OF THE SONGS ON THIS CD!

Buddah: The guys are still out of tune, but not on all of the songs. My opinion is that if you really like Blink then you'll get over the bad vocals, because it's got some really cool guitar riffs.

Cheshire Cat:   Great album! You probably shouldn't buy it if you have heard All the small things, and liked that because it is a lot different. Otherwise, if you are into punk, then you'll probably like this Cd.
Best tracks: Toast and Bananas, M+M's, Wasting Time, Carousel, and Does my breath
smell?

Dude Ranch: The best Cd that Blink has made. By far. This Cd has a mix of punk and pop, but  the punk side of the Cd show up more in the music than the pop. I think almost anyone would learn to enjoy this Cd. Even if you just heard Dammit and thought that it would be the only good song on the Cd, then you are just wrong.
The stand-out tracks are: Dammit, Apple Shampoo, Josie,
Untitled, Dick Lips, and I think    Pathetic is a good track too.

Enema of the State: Ok. Not great. Way too much pop music for the average die hard Blink 182  fan. You will definetly like this album if you heard All The Small Things and liked that. Otherwise you probably won't like it very much.
Standouts: The Party Song, Dumpweed, Going away to College, Dysentery Gary, Wendy Clear

The Enema Strikes Back: A great live cd.  Its got great versions most of their songs, even the pop ones like All The Small Things.  Recommended to anyone who likes Blink.

Take Off Your Pants and Jacket:  A cd that definately showed Blink has changed their style from the stuff on Enema.  Its a medium between Enema and Dude Ranch that will amaze you if you are a pre-enema Blink fan.  I wouldnt buy this if you only like Enema, because you definately will not like this stuff then.  It still has the pop melody sound to it but is more along the lines of punk with the overall sound.
There arent really any standouts as the cd is a standout in itself.  I wouldnt call it the best, but it definately ranks high.
