The Matson Line Ships

In 1927, the first of four luxury liners built for the Matson Line, was launched in the USA. 

This ship, the Malolo, was later joined by her sisters, Mariposa, Monterey and Lurline, and provided the most luxurious Pacific fleet in existence.

Forty years later, three ships from the Matson fleet would be purchased by Chandris Lines and serve as part of the  Chandris fleet, providing emigrant services as well as cruises.
