Each of these stories is technically a standalone, but they are all linked by one common factor: Daniel was never a part of the SGC, and therefore became something else entirely. I have a weakness for nonhuman Daniel stories, so of course I had to write him as a Jaffa and an avatar. The thing that really surprised me about this series is that pirate Daniel, the story I spent the least time on, inspired Cleo the Muse to write a massive spinoff, Honor Amongst Thieves. I highly recommend it for any Daniel/Vala fan.
