The Raleigh City Council voted on Feb. 18 to appoint a task force to study a proposed ordinance that limits to two the number of unrelated occupants who may live in detached single-family homes, townhouses and duplexes in the Capital City.
The 18 members of the task force represent a broad cross section of the city, including neighborhood groups, property owners, institutions of higher learning and social service agencies. The panel will study traffic, noise and other issues relating to the proposed ordinance and report back to the council in May.
