A violent crime in Los Angeles, prompt identification of the culprits and the knowledge that they are likely headed to rural Star City, Arkansas, set this film in motion.
What follows is an excellent story, told linearly and with a momentum that continuously increases to an unpredictable conclusion.
There is no dead space or superfluous dialogue, the cinematography serves the plot and mood beautifully and the characters have ample depth to make us care about them.
