What is a SPECIAL EVENT in San Francisco and environs?
Thank you for asking:

A SPECIAL EVENT is one that does not recur regularly (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, Fifth Saturday, etc.);
     at a venue no farther than 80 road miles from San Francisco's City Hall;
          and provides no fewer than two hours of general Lead/Follow Social Dancing;
               or is an annual event that happens within 250 road miles of San Francisco's City Hall.

Your event might qualify as “special” if:
     Musicians are playing at your regularly-scheduled event that normally has recorded music and vice versa,
          your regularly-scheduled event's class or performance is by a well-known person from far away,
               or for other compelling reasons.

How do I get my SPECIAL EVENT on the page?
Thanks again for asking:

We will include your event on our Special Events page if you have a significant change such as a date that differs from your regular schedule, a postponement, cancellation, your event is new, or for some other important reason.
     We prefer to have information about your event four months before it happens.
     We accept information about events as long as a year in advance.
     We will ask you to tell us that our version of your event is correct.

To list your SPECIAL EVENT, please copy the type between the asterisks, click here, paste the copied type and provide your special event's information without abbreviations.
