Stormriders Virago Page
The wind it blows through my hair, like angels breath so sweet.
The sunshine warms my very soul, my head down to my feet.
The engine roars its song on high, of strength and all things good.
The joy of riding beasts of steel, forever understood.
My 1997 Virago XV750
This bike is a great cruiser. The burgandy and red colors make it unique in a world of black colored bikes. You sit so deep into the bike that the wide slanted gas tank breaks most of the wind. It has a very smooth ride with an exhaust that produces a strong low rumble. It has great acceleration and rides as well on the highway as it does on back country roads. It is a large bike (2 inches longer than the 1100 Virago and 4 inches longer than a Harley Sporster)  I like the fact that it has an unusual frame with no front down tubes. This is called a stressed member configuration and really highlights the engine (it looks like its suspended in mid air). Production ended on the XV750 in 1997. Yhe XV 1100 was produced until 1999. Virago's had been produced since 1981, making it one of the most highly produced asian cruisers ever made.

Recent Additions:  A large chrome plated billet aluminum triple tree cover (the Spider's Den custom leather bag now gets attached to the rear of the backrest). A chrome plated billet aluminium steering stem nut cover as well as a billet aluminium oil cap. Arlen Ness Stealth I Sapphire Mirrors have replaced the stock mirrors. They are small low slung mirrors that give a nice custom look and a sweet set of chrome engine guards that hug the engine closely (not yet pictured).

Future Thoughts: I contacted Crazy Horse Custom Motorcycle Painting and got an estimate to paint the tank deep burgandy (to match side panels and fenders) with purple flames.
