Thank you to everyone who attended the Davie Dog Park Workshop! We were, once again, very well received by the Mayor and the Town Council. Several residents spoke during the workshop regarding their preferences for location, size, and features of the proposed park.

While some members of council seemed to be hoping for a quick resolution to this situation, Mayor Truex seemed to think that a bit of a wait would lead to a better Dog Park in Davie. The Mayor is willing to support a Dog Park for Davie in next year's capital budget.

Please continue to support our efforts by:

• Contacting your council member regarding any possible location for a Dog Park
• Remaining aware of what is happening with the open space bond and park funds (The Open Space Advisory board and Parks & Recreation boards meet monthly at Robbins Lodge park on Hiatus Road; the meetings are open to the public - add your input!)
• Continuing to collect signatures and create awareness
• Contact us with any questions or ideas
• Visiting Davie Dog Park and local news sites and the Davie town website regularly for news and events updates
