Dibujo con carbón que hice en 1990, como
Homenaje a los 100 años de la muerte de Vincent.
Charcoal drawing I made in 1990 as an Homage because of Vincent's
100th death Anniversary.

Incluye: "Autorretrato con sombrero de fieltro gris" (F0344/JH1353, derecha) y "Autorretrato enfrente del caballete" (F0522/JH1356, izquierda), con parte de "Naturaleza muerta: Vaso con Quince Girasoles" (F0457/JH1666). Escribí "Nunca, nunca la naturaleza me pareció tan emocionante y sensitiva", no recuerdo la carta a Theo donde escribió Vincent esta frase. A la izquierda de los girasoles "El pintor del futuro será un colorista, tal como no ha existido nunca" (T482) y a la derecha "...la verdad es que solo podemos hacer que sean nuestros cuadros los que hablen..." (T652). Esta última es la frase más importante, porque la escribió Vincent en la carta que Theo encontró sobre su pecho el día de su muerte: 29 de julio de 1890.
Includes: "Self-Portrait with Gray Felt Hat" (F0344/JH1353, right) and "Self-Portrait in Front of the Easel" (F0522/JH1356, left), with a part of "Still life: Vase with Fifteen Sunflowers" (F0457/JH1666). I wrote: "Never, never the nature looks to me so touching and sensitive", I do not have the letter of reference. In the left part of the Vase with Sunflowers, I put "The painter of the future will be a colorist such as has never yet existed" (T482) and at the right of the vase "...the truth is, we can only make our pictures speak" (T652).This is the most important phrase for me, because it was found in a letter over Vincent's chest the day of his death: July 29, 1890.

Incluí el "Autorretrato" F0380/JH1225, parte de la frase: "No conozco mejor definición de la palabra arte que esta: 'El arte es el hombre agregado a la naturaleza', la naturaleza, la realidad, la verdad, pero con un significado, con una concepción, con un carácter, que el artista hace resaltar, y a los cuales da expresión que redime, que desenreda, libera, ilumina" (T130). Como fondo, FLORES (Lirios, Girasoles).
I included the "Self-Portrait" F0380/JH1225, and part of this phrase: "I still can find no better definition of the word art than this, 'L'art c'est l'homme ajouté á la nature' (art is man added to nature), nature, reality, truth, but with a significance, a conception, a character, which the artist brings out in it, and to which he gives expression, which he disentangles, sets free and interprets" (T130). At the background FLOWERS (Irises, Sunflowers).
