Stratton Brook

NEW NEWS!! A decision has been reached! Pending approval from the town of Simsbury, the Trust for Public Land and the Ethyl Walker School have reached an agreement to permanently protect 424 acres of the school's land. Water Usage

Remember the draining of the Fenton River at UCONN which killed over 8,000 fish? HB 5277 — An Act Concerning Preservation of Rivers and Streams is an act right now in legislation that will give the DEP the right to review “registered” reservoirs, wells and other water uses in the state that are currently EXEMPT from any environmental review. Brook Trout

Mill River

A dense development with 72 units of housing on 29 acres is proposed for the land that borders the Mill River in Easton. The Mill holds wild brown trout and wild, native brook trout, which were recently restored to the river by the DEP. READ MORE. 1
