22 Long Rifle
A lot of varmints are shot each year with the 22 long rifle. I have not used the 22 for anything but finishing shots in recent years and honestly not many of those. I carry a S&W 317 AirLite revolver on my backpack loaded with CCI Stingers & a couple of CCI shotshells. The information below is from the various 22's I own and use. The loads in Green would be used with that particular 22 if I was carrying it in the field for varmint hunting. I have used the Anschutz Model 1416 Sporter for hunting squirrel and it would make a fine rifle for other rodents. |
