John's is a real Cinderella story. Having jumped ship in Hong Kong and
made his way over to Tibet, Jon got on as a looper at a course over in the Himalayas.
(A looper, you know, a caddy, a looper, a jock.) So, he tells them he's a pro jock, and who do you think they give
him? The Dalai Lama himself. Twelfth son of the Lama. The flowing robes, the grace, bald... striking.
So, Jon's on the first tee with him. Jon gives him the driver. He hauls off and whacks
one -- big hitter, the Lama, long -- into a ten-thousand foot crevasse, right at the base of this glacier.
Do you know what the Lama says? Gunga galunga... gunga, gunga-galunga. So when
Jon dies, on his deathbed, he will receive total consciousness. So he's got that goin' for him, which is nice.
Looking to follow in the footsteps of his hero, Sidney
Franklin (aka Sidney Frumpkin), the greatest of Jewish bullfighters, Jonathan enrolled at Brandeis University to study the art of the matador.
However, finding that the Judges had no bullfighting team, he shifted his
focus to darts, where he teamed up with Rick. Johnathan, a musician, is a rookie on this veteran seasoned team, and a co-spokesman of the team (along with Richard.)
Having left home at the early age of 16, Richard traveled the world and on returning, enrolled in Harvard, earning the title "bookworm",Richard will use that eduation to annihilate all those non-Harvard people who play against him. His tremendous potential has most experts predicting he will be the straw that stirs the many drinks we imbibe each week.
Richard will serve as official spokesman and media relations director for the squad.
The origional founder of The Road Rebels and its predecessor and the longtime "man behind the power" who is responsible for the squad,
this season James is looking to continue his outstanding performance in Cricket as well as continue improving his play in D501 - watch out for him he's on Fire!!!!!!!
Jim's powerful status in the tavern industry, as well as his prolific dart skills, will provide much needed protection for the squad as we venture into enemy territory.
A true seasoned veteran on the team,Rick is looking to transfer his abilties to the newer members of the squad. His ability to go from
student to teacher will be a long transition, Rick feels it will have little effect on his ability to score C3's & R9's while still winning games.
A member of The Road Rebels predecessor for 3 years, Rick's agility & eagle eye aiming has moved The Road Rebels from last place for several seasons to finishing just out of the playoffs last season. We look to Rick to wrap his arms around his teammates for guidance & leadership, Don't let US down, Rick.
Having spent a number of years under the tutelage of fellow teammate
Aebra, Melenee has officially taken the position of Our Girl Monday. Her dedication to the team goes from buying the first coupla rounds for the night while making sure she gets her fill of brain twister, word games and any other video games that are in the establishment prior to playing her first game of darts, go figure? Last, but not least, she's always fashion conscience - b.t.w she works for N.Y.'s top retailer - her teammates always keep reminding her to tie her sneakers.
This season Melenee has moved up dart expertise-wise with the purchase of her first set of League standard darts - Hammerheads!!!!!! Congratulations Mel, welcome to the club, we wish you well this season.
Michael Diana, a veteran of the Iraqi conflict, returns home to give new muscle to The Road Rebels. Mike "D", as he likes to be called brings D for defense, his abilities to defend his or his partner's lead will keep his opponents racked with fear and losses. His acumen for throwing trip 20's or round 9's should help lead the crew to new heights. We say welcome Mike D and make us PROUD!!!!!!!
This cheerleader turned chucker made her mark in Week 12 of the S2002 season, in which
she posted 327 AS points and 3 wins. In addition to her darts prowess, she and Aebra
continue to perfect a series of highly effective distraction tactics that have
led to countless team wins. Ain't it the life? Sue made a
break out of the city and now has a new way home. The squad will wait for her
everlong.
Once a player known for being on the schneid, Lauren has
emphatically announced that she is now off the schneid. A true British
athlete, Lauren excels in her homeland's premiere sports of photography and darts,
and her use of the word "treble" serves to confuse the
competition. After her tour of duty in Nam, Lauren re-upped with the
Foreign Legion and has been sent to another
war zone, to restore peace to the world. The squad awaits her
triumphant return.
A veteran on the darts circuit, Rudy is known for his quirky throwing style and down-home attire. Rudy's mastery of the" beer proficiency curve " has led to significant advances in the field of alcoholic sportsmanship. Always endeavoring to further explain the ups and downs of the game of darts, Rudy is a significant contributor to the darts excuse board.
A formidable and multi-talented presence in the sport of
darts, John can not only touch the dart board from the throw
line, but he can also dance the tango between throws with his acclaimed
partner Aebra.
A mainstay of the squad, Aebra has decide to go on a temporary leave from the team to take up a new hobby - employment. Since joining the squad, Aebra has devoted all her time as social director, is one of the leading Cricket players on the team, with an uncanny knack for hitting 18's and C3's for the win. Aebra's presence on the team is legendary, besides her playing ability, her margaritas will surely be missed. The Road Rebels wish her all the luck in the world and hope her replacement on the team can themselves become legendary.
Take care Aebra, you will be missed, please write home often as we on the team will look for those letters in the mail.
A two-year veteran of the squad, Annette recently retired after
spending much of the Fall 2003 season on the DL. After studying in
England, it is hoped that she will return to the team with a panoply of
newfound skills.
Michael brought a wealth of experience to the squad, having spent considerable time in bars. A player with an old-school attitude, Michael vowed to play wherever needed, regardless of injury, and without concern for the status of his pants. The only award winner on the team, Michael sports an R9 patch to cover the rip in his pants.
