![]() A little over five years ago, a friend of mine (Louise Clements) expressed an interest in a Belgian Malinois. To my surprise I found myself searching the web to see what attracted her to this breed.
Two years later she asked me if I would like to go look at a litter of Malinois puppies. She had placed a deposit on a male out of the litter, and while they were not old enough to go home, the breeder had invited her over to see the puppies. On a quiet Sunday, we drove to a neighboring state and I fell under the spell of the Malinois charm. I'd had absolutely no intention of buying a Malinois, but to my own dismay, I found myself putting a deposit on a bitch puppy. find that Duc du Creux Thatcher, owned by Debbie and Ron Skinner, one of the
dogs that I admired most, was residing with Catherine Shields of Carousel
Malinois in the neighboring state of Oregon.
I had briefly met Catherine at the specialty in Montana and I've had the
opportunity to see one of Duc's puppies, Carousel's Diamond By Design,
(Kaila) bred by Catherine, owned by my friend Louise. Since I was impressed
with Duc, and very much liked the quality of his get. Trip had Litter sired
by Duc born August 1, 2000 and I retained one male,
