This site is for people to express their opinons on the issue of whether marijuana should be legal in the UK. Now in my opinion it should, I don't see it as a 'dangerous' drug - although others will disagree and claim although it in it's self isn't dangerous it is a gateway drug that will lead to people using other, more dangerous, drugs such as cocaine. Sure this may be true for some people but others just want to enjoy dope for its relaxing effects and in some cases medicinal uses. I think people deserve the right to choose, there has been infomation saying that marijuana is neither as addictive as nicotine or dangerous as alcohol yet both of theses are legal, while weed is still not.
Marijuana being illegal doesn't stop people from using, selling, or growing it and marijuana related offences are in my opinion a waste of police time. So why not legalise it in the UK? Sure it does have its effects, and can become addictive but so can other legal substances.
I know I can't really do much to change the situation but this site is more about expressing your views on the subject, rather than me trying to make you accept mine, so whether you agree or disagree sign the guestbook and let me (and whoever visits this site) know your views. |

Heya people, sorry I havn't updated the page in ages. But I generally can't think of much to add (so any suggestions please e-mail me - jay_cobain@hotmail.com ) . Anyway, some stuff has happened concerning the fight for legalisation, it's still illegal but the cops don't do much about it anymore. Which is good enough for the time being. There was also the opening, and closing, of the first dope cafe in Britain, also cool! But this ain't good enough, I'm not really sure what we can do but we need to do something to make getting stoned hassle-free!! I wanna be able to walk over Tesco and say "I'll have a pack of green rizla, 10 malboro lights and half an ounce please"!! |

Although writing this may seem to lend weight to the argument of marijuana as a gateway drug, I have decided to extend the site slightly in order to cover the effects and myths of some other drugs which I consider to be wrongly outlawed. Inspired by an entry in the guestbook I thought I should make clear my viewpoint that out bodies are our own and we should be allowed to do with them what we wish. I strongly support self experimentation, through various methods be they body modification such as tattoos or through the use of psychadelics and other drugs. There have always been societies where drugs such as yage and peyote have been used to reach enlightenment, suggesting that drugs such as these help us to think on a different level and thus better ourselves.
