| Psychology - People and their behaviors intrigue me. School, education, a diploma or four has never been a goal of mine. I don't think you learn the real stuff from a book or in a class. Travel - Although being a Mom has slowed me down, I have not stopped traveling. Constantly in a car or on the back of a motorcycle through my twenties, I hear the road call even now. I love the small back roads in the United States that take me to towns with a population so small everyone knows I am a visitor. Philosophy - I love a good debate and what better way to strike one up than to discuss beliefs? Gambling - Interested in it since before I could legally gamble, I have taken this hobby across country as I traveled to Atlantic City. Living in Northern California for ten years I frequented Reno, Nevada, and as most gamblers do I've made my trips to Las Vegas. While living in Denver, Colorado, I watched as the small mining towns turned tourist towns of Central City and Black Hawk morphed into Rocky Mountain versions of Vegas, and witnessed them grow and or struggle through their rapid changes. Photography - My interest in photography started as a child. Working as a reporter on a weekly newspaper, my favorite responsibility was taking photographs. The Web - I have a few websites. Writing - In grade school I asked my teacher if I could turn in stories for extra credit. It was probably her feedback on what I'd written that was my motivation. In high school one teacher put a story of mine in the school paper, another posted one of my stories in the school's display cabinet. It was in my thirty-something years when I was home with my toddlers that I started Write This Way and turned my hobby of writing into a freelance business. |
