Mother Teresa, a beloved humanitarian known throughout the world for her charity towards the poor and her firm and passionate pro-life stance.Was born in Macedonia
she she joined the Irish Catholic order of the Sisters of Loreto, which operated missions in Bengal. She came to India and spent entire life by dedicating to poor,
downtrodden and neglected faction of the society.
In 1950 she founded her order, the Missionaries of Charity, whose work, as she defined it, was to provide "free service to the poor and the unwanted, irrespective of caste, creed, nationality or race." Since then a number of orphanages and
shelters and units were establised all over the world for dying destitute, leprosy patients, alcoholics, drug addicts and homeless people.Her work freely crossed religious boundaries, caught the attention and admiration of world leaders, and won the 1979 Nobel Peace Prize.
A veteran communist, ideologist and genius, E M S Namboothiripad played a crucial role in Indian politics. He was the first Chief Minister of Kerala. Born in a conservative Brahmin family, he played a mojor role in the socialist movement in Kerala.
He has written nearly one hundred books in English and in Malayalam together, besides numerous Articles and pomphlets. He participated in the World Communist Conference, Eighth Conference of Chinese Communist Party and Seventieth Anniversary of October Revolution as a delegate from India. His opinions and arguments were extensively subjected to discussion.
