Adyapeaith

Origination of Adyapith took place through Sri Annada Thakur, a religious man, who got a piece of carved stone black marble ( just more than one foot tall ) in the form of divine mother KAALI from Calcutta Eden gardens after seeing a strange dream. Then it was nearly 1915. However, subsequently this idol was immersed in the river Ganga as The Divine Mother Kali Herself appeared to Annada three times in his dream and commanded him to immerse the image in the river Ganga.

"I do not want to be worshipped only in one place," She said. "On the contrary, it is my wish to be worshipped in the home of every devotee, not merely according to scriptural rites. . . . If anyone pays homage and gives offerings to me in the simple and sincere language of the heart, such as 'O My Mother! Take this food, wear this garment,' and then uses those things himself, it will be regarded as good an act as worship. The prayer of a simple and sincere heart constitutes my worship."
Before the immersion according to Her command, the image was photographed and circulated. The Divine Mother continued to appear to Annada in dreams. "I am Adyashakti ('Primordial Force'), and I am to be worshipped as Adya Maa," She said. She dictated to him a Sanskrit hymn in Her honor, the Adyastotram, promising that anyone who sang it with devotion would find favor with her. In 1919, Sri Ramakrishna appeared in the dream of sri Annada Thakur and revealed that Annada's life's work should be establishing a temple of the Divine Mother Adya Ma. Annada followed it. And subsequently this adya pith was established.

KASHI VISWANATH TEMPLE

Kashi Viswanath Temple Varanasi)

Viswanath Temple of Varanashi i.e. Kashi is regarded as one of the most lively and auspicious Shiva temple in the entire world. It was the stormy heavy raining night of 1777 A.D. Rani Ahilyabai of Indore was sleeping in her room. She was a great devotee of Lord SHIVA. It was just on the verge of dawn after midnight, Rani Ahilyabai saw a strange dream. She saw Lord SHIVA is standing in front of her…very calm and quite …not as Rudramurthy but as SATYAM SHIVAM SUNDARM pose (not in the form of God of destruction but as a saver of the universe). God said to her "you are a great devotee of me and so I want to give you one responsibility.    I’m always staying in Varanasi beside the bank of the Holiest river Ganga, as Lord Vishwanath - the  most auspicious part of my twelve ‘Jyotirlings’ in India . I was living there in holy ‘Gyanvapi’ temple. People worshiped me with a great devotion. But some greedy culprits destroyed my holy temple. For the sake of my all devotees let you build another Temple for me beside the same place so that people can worship me again with a great devotion. Go and take bath in the holy river ‘Narmada’. There you will get one SHIVLING from the bed of the river. Establish that SHIVLING into the new temple. This very temple will be famous as KASHI VISHWANATH TEMPLE.  ". After this Rani Ahilyabai woke up and made up her mind that she would do everything as she saw in the dream…it couldn’t be a mere dream, it must have been an instruction came from the God Shiva himself. After some days Rani Ahilyabai came to the bank of the river Narmada and took bath at the particular place as she saw in the dream. She deep down into the river 1,2,3 but could not get anything. She went two steps forward and deep down again and suddenly touched one solid rock, black in colour and the structure is like a SHIVLING. She hold it firmly and touched it on her head. According to the Bengali calendar on 1184, 8th Bhadra (some time in 1777 A.D.), Monday, Rani Ahilyabai founded the new Viswanath Temple Kashi (Varanasi).

Vishwanath Temple of Kashi (Varanasi) is very famous and very auspicious temple to all Hindus. This is Jyotirling Shiva.  It is popularly known as the Kashi golden Temple due the Gold plating dome on its 15.5 meter high spire. One ton of gold donated by Maharaja Ranjit Singh has been used in the gold plating of the spire. The temple was destroyed in the various invasions and was rebuilt in 1777 by Rani Ahilyabai of Indore. It is said that the person who offer Puja to Lord Shiva with 'Bel Pallab' ( the sacred Wood-apple leaves ), all his desires get fulfilled. The person who have lost everything of his/ her mental peace (Shanti), gets back everything with the blessings of Lord Shiva. He (Lord Shiva) is open handed to all ...very very kind hearted ...gives you everything which is beneficial for you. It's said that People never come back with empty hands from Viswanath Temple after offering Puja to Lord Shiva.

Varanasi is very very holy city. Very auspicious city. Its said that Bhagwan Sri Ram came here and stayed. Panch Pandava also came here and established SHIVLING. Mahaprabhu Sri Chaitannya came here. This is the place where so many noble men stayed for long time like – Vaskar Rao, Tailangswami, Katia Baba, Swami Avdhoot, Sant Kinaram, Swami Bisudhyananda, Shyama charan Lahiri etc.

Varanasi is the oldest city in the world. It is a holy city, the city of Lord Shiva, situated on the bank of the sacred river, the Ganga. Thousands of Hindu pilgrims come here to bathe in the waters of the Ganga. According to the Hindu belief, a dip in the Ganga washes away all sins. Similarly it is believed that it is an auspicious place to die, since expiring here ensures release from the cycle of rebirths and is an instant passport to Heaven. The rituals of life and death take place in the several Ghats on the bank of the Ganga. The Dasaswamedh Ghat is a famous one. This is Varanasi , the magic city, the mystic city and the spiritual city. You have to be here for long to experience it.

Mata Vaishno Devi

Mahakali, Mahalakshmi and Mahasaraswati

Offering PUJA at VAISHNO DEVI shrine means offering Puja to tri Maha shakti (Mahakali, Mahalakshmi and Mahasaraswati) at a time.  Vaishnodevi cave temple which is situated at the top of the Trikuta Mountain, is extremely popular and holy to the people of all faiths. Among the most revered of shrines, and the oldest in the region, it entails a 13.5 km trek steep walking on the mountain from Katra (which in turn is 50 km from Jammu). The route up to the vaishnodevi shrine consists of both tiled paths as well as steep staircases, and the devout often walk barefeet up the Trikuta mountain for getting full 'Punnya'.

The cave vaishnodevi shrine is narrow and pilgrims have to walk through a running stream of cold water 'Charan Ganga' to get to the sanctum sanctorum. Within, three rock-cut idols of the goddesses, Mahakali, Mahalakshmi and Mahasaraswati are venerated. Canopies of silver and gold adorn the idols. Coconuts and red scarves are offered. Legend has it that Vaishno Devi took the cave for her home upon being chased by a demon, Bhairon, whom she slayed outside the shrine. A visit to the temple dedicated to Bhairon who was absolved of his sin before he died, is an obligatory part of the pilgrimage.
