The Story and Cast of Inuyasha

Kagome Higurashi - (The reincarnate of Kikyo)

Age -15

Kagome is a young girl who lives in a temple with her family. She had no idea of her soul's past, OR what her future would behold. The young Higurashi is really just an ordinary school girl, but when it comes down to the wire, she can be a very crafty girl. Although her former self was an excellent markswoman, Kagome still has a lot left to learn, and Inuyasha makes sure to let Kagome know every time she pulls back an arrow in her bow! Even though Inuyasha seems to despise her, Kagome tries anything she can to aid the young halfling, but the help stops when her exams start!

Inuyasha - (half demon)

Age: ? (Probably about 16 or 17)

Inuyasha, struck by the magic in Kikyo's arrow, was pinned to the Goshinboku for fifty years before young Kagome cancelled the spell. Together, the two have been assigned the task of reuniting the shards of the shattered Shikon no Tama. Inuyasha is rude, inconsiderate, vulgar, and foulmouthed, but protects Kagome whenever she needs it. Does he also love her? Hmmm... He is also the carrier of the Tetsusaiga, or Steel-Cleaving Fang. The blade is one of the fangs from Inuyasha's demon father, and it will only work if used to protect a human.

Kikyou - A Preistess (miko)

Age - Was about 17

Kikyou once guarded the Shikon No Tama, she was also in love with Inuyasha before Naraku tricked her and killed her. She was later ressurected from the dead by an ogress named Urasue, and she now walks the land gathering the souls of dead women to feed her false body. Her intentions are very unclear, but it seems she still is in love with Inuyasha, and she is NOT interested in sharing him with Kagome. Kikyou also enjoys toying with Naraku, because she knows that he cannot kill her. One question rises above all the others...Will Kikyou's soul ever find peace?

Shippo - Fox-Demon (Kitsune) pup

Age? (probably about 5 or 6)

When the Thunder Brothers, Hiten and Manten, killed Shippo's father for possessing shards of the Shikon, Shippo vowed revenge. He sought out Shards for himself to increase his demon powers, but his precious Shards happened to be attached to a very irritable half-demon named Inuyasha. When Manten kidnapped Kagome, Shippo begged Inuyasha to help her. The truth is, Shippo is smitten with Kagome, and has developed a crush on her! How cute! The young fox-demon also has the power to shapeshift into a silly-looking pink demon, along with quite a few other forms. Most all of them look just as absurd as the pink demon.

Myoga - (Flea demon)

Age: OLD

This old flea is the former servant of Inuyasha's demon father. Myoga tends to have a bad habit of sucking everybody's blood, and it seems to be his way of greeting people. Myoga was once the guardian of the Tetsusaiga, but when Inuyasha's half-brother, Sesshomaru, sought the magical blade, the little flea began his journey to find Inuyasha. When Inuyasha uses his father's fang, Myoga is the first to duck out of sight. This flea is not the bravest of the bunch.

Sesshoumaru - (Full-Blooded Dog Demon)

Age: Older than Inuyasha

Sesshoumaru is Inuyasha's human-hating brother. He is quite beautiful and well-kept, but deadly as a viper's bite. Sesshoumaru wants that which he cannot have... Inuyasha's Tetsusaiga. Sesshoumaru has been granted the Tenseiga, a sword that has the ability restore life, yet never take it away. Thinking he has the weaker of the two weapons, Sesshoumaru hatches various schemes to take the Tetsusaiga from his unworthy brother. One of Sesshoumaru's innate abilities is the power to teleport, another is his deadly Poison-flower Claw, the Dokkasou.

Recently, Sesshoumaru saved the life of a little human child, Rin. Rin took care (or at least attempted to!) of Sesshoumaru after he was nearly killed by Inuyasha. He now keeps her by his side.

Kagome's Family

Kagome's mother is a kind woman, who seems to have accepted the change in her daughter's life. It hasn't been revealed on what has happened to Mr. Higurashi, but the issue may be discussed in the future.

Sota is Kagome's little brother. He was with her from the start. When he finally met Inuyasha, he thought he was the coolest person who ever existed. He has total faith in Inuyasha, and wants to be as strong as him when he gets older.

Kagome's Friends

Age: Both 15

Kagome's friends seem to know a lot more about Kagome than Kagome does herself! They are forever trying to get Kagome to hook up with the naive Houjo-kun from B-class, even though Kagome is really uninterested. They seem to care about her a lot, making sure Kagome chooses a man who won't treat her badly or make her cry. If they only knew about Inuyasha, maybe they would understand Kagome a little bit more than they think they do!

Miroku - Corrupt Preist ^-^

Age - ? (probably around 17)

Miroku is a corrupted preist who is NOT afraid to take advantage of people. He appears in a village trying to perform an exorcism in a feudal lord's castle. When he defeats the weasel demon (and takes the shard it had stolen) he promptly steals all of the stuff that the lord has, and runs off to sell it! Talk about corrupted! When Inuyasha, Kagome, and Shippo-chan showed up, things got a little weird. All of a sudden, Miroku removed the magic prayer beads on his hand, and shouted "AIR RIP!" Miroku's hand became a black hole!

After a huge misunderstanding and a battle (and Miroku copping a feel on Kagome's butt -_-""), we learn that Miroku's hand was cursed by a demon called Naraku. It is soon known that THIS is the one who turned Kikyo and Inuyasha against each other! Unless Naraku is killed, Miroku's 'black hole' in his hand will continue to widen... eventually killing him,

Miroku's staff is called a 'shakujo', and is generally carried by Buddhist priests. Another famous shakujo-user is Chichiri, from Fushigi Yuugi! ^o^ Na no da!

Sango - Youkai Exterminator

Age: ? (about 16)

Sango's motto? Walk softly... and carry a FRIKKIN HUGE boomerang!!! O_O! She may be young, and female, but this girl can fight like a man in a bar brawl. She's a youkai (demon) exterminator, as was her father, and younger brother.

After been caught in a terrible ploy by Naraku, Sango, her brother Kohaku and her father, are killed by the guards at the very palace that hired them. All three of them are buried. Sango, apparently, was not killed though, and bursts out of her grave, ready to kill.

After being tricked by Naraku, Kagome attacked Inuyasha and his friends, almost losing her life. When she learned the truth, the joined the group in their search for Naraku. She has a little pet named Kirara, a two-tailed cat-type, who can shape change into a giant cat with large fangs. Sango sometimes rides her into battle.

Rin - A very, very cute little girl

Age - ? (probably 6)

Not much is known about Rin. Her parents and siblings were killed right in front of her, and she became mute.

After finding a very defeated Sesshoumaru in the woods, Rin decided she was going to take care of him. She brought some food and water for Sesshoumaru, but being Sesshoumaru, he just knocked it away. Villagers beat her up for stealing fish, so on her next trip she brought only a lizard and a rat.

When Sesshoumaru asked her what had happened to her face, Rin lit up! She smiled as best as she could with her swollen face.

When a pack of wolves ran amok through the town, they managed to catch little Rin. She died with one bite. Smelling human blood, Sesshoumaru found Rin's body. But using his magic sword Tenseiga, he revived her. Now Rin is in Sesshoumaru's care, and is talking and playing like the little girl that she is, but it's still unknown as to what the evil demon intends to do with her.

Kouga - Son of the Wolf Demon Tribe

Age - ? (probably 16 or 17)

Kouga is a very difficult demon to explain! ^^"" No one is quite sure on whether or not he works for the good guys, but Kouga has been known to work on either side. One thing is for certain though: he HATES Naraku. (who doesn't?)

Kouga-kun has Shikon fragments in his arm and legs, and recently lost the one in his arm to a monster. Also, this wolf-demon does NOT like Inuyasha. In fact, he calls him "Dog Crap!" Kouga also decided to make Kagome "his woman." ... without her consent! Inuyasha hates this even more, and jealousy battles ensue whenever Kagome's involved. Kouga may believe he loves Kagome, but he doesn't seem to realize that love is usually a mutual agreement! Even still, Kouga will try his best to save Kagome.

Also, it was Kouga's wolves who killed Rin. He has no idea that they did this... and he probably doesn't care... -_-"""

Toutousai - Demon Blacksmith

Age - Pretty Darn Old

Toutousai is the one who forged Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru's swords. He first shows up after getting chased by Sesshoumaru and getting forced to make the evil demon a new sword. Toutousai is as stubborn as the 3-eyed ox he rides, and he defiantly refuses, reminding Sesshomaru to take a look at Tenseiga, slung on his hip. As usual, a battle ensues between Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru, and Inuyasha learns his first great attack, "Slicing Wind."

Sesshoumaru is defeated, but not dead. If Inuyasha had killed his brother, Toutousai would have destroyed "Tetsusaiga." From thereon after, Toutousai shows up either because he is running away from someone, or to power-up Inuyasha's sword. He even fixes Sango's Hiraikotsu once!

Overall, a helpful but cowardly demon.

Naraku - Epitome of All Evil

Age - ?

Naraku literally means 'hell.' Everything that this demon has done can NOT be explained. He has terrorized the lives of Inuyasha and Kikyo, killed Sango's family, cursed Miroku, and destroyed lives. What twisted thing has Naraku planned for the world? Did he kill Kikyo because his human counterpart, Onigumo, loved Kikyo? Did he harbor hatred towards Inuyasha? Why does he exist? What does he want the Jewel of Four Souls for? Not much of this demon has been told of, but we may find out... soon...

	Kagura - A demon of wind Age - ? Like her elder sister Kanna, Kagura was born from Naraku's body. With a fan of steel, she controls the "Fuujin no Mai" or "Dance of the Wind Blades." Kagura hates Naraku, and she speaks with disgust towards him. Overall, she is a very rude demoness.

 

Kanna - A demon of nothingness Age - ? Though diminutive in size compared to her younger sister, Kanna is a very powerful demoness. Kanna has the ability to absorb souls with her mirror. She rarely speaks, and seems very obedient to Naraku.

 

Goshinki - The 3rd of Naraku's 'Children' Age - O_o??? Goshinki is the first demon to taste the true power of Inuyasha. After breaking Tetsusaiga, Inuyasha turned full-youkai and WASTED Goshinki. But that's not the end of it. Sesshoumaru harvested Goshinki's fangs to make a sword that may rival Tetsusaiga...

 

Juuromaru - Puppet of... Kageromaru - Juuroumaru's master. Ages - O_o??? These 2 demons are actually one, and together they make Naraku's 4th Child. Juuroumaru is a very sloppy demon boy. Trust me, you don't wanna know...
