Bruce Inglangasuk is originally from Canada, and has experience rafting the excellent rivers of the Brooks Range. He may invite you to check fish nets with him or follow him as he hunts Caribou on the Tundra.

Bruce has experience in subsistence hunting and fishing, and is active in monitoring bear activity for workers on the North Slope. He lives with his 8-year old daughter in Kaktovik.

Bruce can be contacted at (907) 640-2142.

Lawrence Kayoutuk specializes in boat trips for Kaktovik Visitors out to some of the sand spits and barrier islands in the vicinity. On his trips you are likely to see polar bears, seals, and numerous types of birds.

Lawrence is also very knowledgable about the local history and will show you native fishing camps, wrecked vessels, trading posts and other fascinating artifacts.

His wife Anne makes the finest home-made donuts on the North Slope. You'll find them especially welcome as you warm up with a bonfire on one of the remote islands at the very edge of the Arctic Ocean.
